  • Reminds me of Bob Dylan's Masters of War

I kinda like it with the volume you lowered

makes the passion seem more personified

I was taught if you can comprehend a video in silence

than the artists did their job....And I think we've got a winner

  • @andywhorehall

How did you deduce that, you really are talking crap!

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I remember clearly the night was broadcast - it was my first exposure to industrial music and I was fascinated.

  • Awesome - gosh I wish this was available in high quality! So sad so much of the early real industrial music is so poorly preserved. Though in a way it kind of adds to the raw deconstructing charm of it all. lol. Thanks for posting!

  • Why's the audio so quiet? This should be LOUD!!!

  • Best i could do.The video i took it from was cream crackered!

  • I had this on the miners strike fund raiser lp with the Welsh miners choir. I didn't like it at the time and let a friend talk me into giving it to them for a birthday present.

  • They copycated SPK. Nice video tho.

  • well, i'm only happy about that, there's NOT ENOUGH bands like test dept and SpK.

  • @ash23neuro

Back to school you really know absolutely nothing, go listen to the integity of SPK with 'metal dance' fave of the teeny bop paper 'Record Mirror'

  • Early TD is one of my favourite bands.

  • Que viajado esta este video

  • volado kerras decir?

  • Way back when, I heard they performed live with Diamanda Galas. That must have been amazing and brutal.

  • Poss official release of bootleg recording in pipeline

  • I was never convinced by TD at the time, the music press wrote interesting stuff about them, but they sounded like a kind of posh Neubauten. Had their moments, though.

My mate actually saw them in Poland in the 80s (but not in Gdansk) - apparently they were really excited to be playing for a working class audience, but in commie times the cooncil just put some bands on and folk turned up cos there was bugger all else to do.

  • Wow.... this video was my fav of Test department.

The music at that period was phenomenal... The industrial movement was really something!

    thanks for sharing that classic!

  • The sound is way too quiet! This is Test Department for God's sake! Play it loud!

  • The sound is way too quiet! This is Test Department for God's sake! Play it loud!

  • in the decade of brittany and lame rap its refreshing to hear brutal kaos! thanX

  • Comrades in arms

  • That's the stuff, thanks !
