Nope, nothing to do with 2142, i was hearing it before 2142 came out, and I've heard it on this computer only yesterday and i have neer installed 2142 on here.

i did the laugh in game just now and i dont even have 2142 installed, never played it. it happened when i spotted a sniper as he died, the same sniper that killed me just before. i think its got something to do with spotting the corpse of a guy who just killed you

or like this movie shows, spotting an enemy as he dies, rather than after he dies would produce the laugh

i searched this because i recently heard this sound while playing as commander..maybe i spotted dead enemy in commander screen

can you hear it yourself or only ppl around you, like when your toss a med pack or ammo bag? Havning a hard time getting it to work. I have the taunt files, wonder if i should reinstall 2142

people around you can hear it. it just takes practice to do...it took me a while to get use to. You could try reinstalling 2142 if the sound files are missing.

yea i have 2142, i also signed up for the veterans program thats when i heard about this.

i dont have 2142 and my soldier also laughs sometimes so...
