When the north was divided against the south upon the issue of slavery, the south was more honest as they didn't care about what other countries think. The north wanted to establish wage slavery to fool the world as if there is a mutual understanding between the worker/slave & the owners. Otherwise obviously the world would think of the USA as a fraud even in it's own name.
