  • My word! He did those calculations in BLITZ chess!?

  • I have no idea what newzild1 said

  • @1Deejay7 ;-)

  • @1Deejay7 You should pause the video @ 4.55. Korchnoi of course had two checks, not only one. But also Qd1+ loses for black, like in the variationes given by newzild1 @ b).

  • I remember in "parc de luxembourg" in Paris many years ago when a certain ivanchuk turned up with a few chess friends to enjoy some blitz chess in the park. Everyone roared with laughter as he repeatedly opened as white with 1.h4!? and replied to any 1st move by white with 1. . .a6!? He won game after game against F.I.D.E. experts and everyone else there with only a few annoying draws to slow him down. Ironically the only game he lost was when one opponent opened with 1.h4!? as well.

  • How do you know he calculated it to the end. It was blitz. He may have trusted his intuition and it worked. Happens all the time.

  • nice vid, uploaded on my bday too ;)

  • It may not be the most complicated calculation ever but the fact that it was done under blitz conditions makes it amazing, I would struggle to do that in fide time controls let alone blitz!

  • danke :-)

  • Facinating.

  • Yes, the narrator overlooked the check on d1, which is the most critical line. I paused the video after ...Qxd5. This is what I calculated: 1...Qxd5 2. Qb1+ g6 (not 2...Kh6 3. Rh8#) 3. Rc7+ Kh8 (not 3...Kg7 4. Qxg6+ Kh8 5. Qg7#) 4. Qxg6! and now: a) 4...Qh1+ Ke2, and Black has no perpetual. b) 4...Qd1+ 5. Kg2, and now: b1) 5...Qg4+ Bg3, and Black has no perpetual. b2) 5...Qd5+ (this is the critical line) 6. f3 Qd2+ 7. Kh3! And, again, Black has no more checks.
  • @newzild1 thanks for catching that, calculating and sharing it

  • @newzild1 Excuse me can you please explain me why there are letters and numbers around the bord and do they use it? for what do do they use it? what do they calculate. :D and there are also people playing chess sooo fast. whats the matter of it? xD i though it was just about moving them correctly.

  • well, I don't want to be disconsiderate or sth, but I really think this is kind of a simple calculation for a 2000+ player (not to mention a GM) as virtually all the moves are forced. I think real complex calculation comes when there's a branching of 3-4 independent variations, IMHO

  • @janweltevreden cum slurpering cock sucker mother fucking booby fichers hhaving sex with magnus carlsen while karpov watches while he ejaculates into Polgars mouth as she inserts a bishop and two rooks into her vagina. than magnus carlsen spreads his semen all over kasparovs mouth with his thighs while kasparov slices off his penis with a razor blade made from the cum deposits of bobby fichers dead corpse. in the end, they all jump into a pool full of dead decaying kitten fetus's.

    FUCK YOU

  • @Vince13192 I think you should seek the help of a mental health worker.

  • @Vince13192 Ah yes and when I get you arrested for animal abuse? Go right ahead you obviously can't think of any way to deal with your problems except through threats.

  • @Kasparovwannabe i live in sweden fucko, ya Americans cant do shit! haha

  • @Hellaqwik m quite a sure u dont knw a bit of chess.

  • Nice vid. Thanks!

  • Maybe he just got lucky...

  • @notnek011 chess is def. a game of luck...

  • Yes, Qd1+ is available at 4:54. But after 1. ... Qd1+ 2. Kg2 Qg4+ white has 3. Bg3! stopping any kind of counter play or hope for a draw. And with mate threatened in many ways (with Qg7#, Qh7#, Rc8#, and Be5+) , the position is completely hopeless for black.

In summary, either check on h1 and d1 eventually leads to a dead end.

    Hope that clears things up.

  • great

  • bang

  • Thank you, ChessNoir! These are just excellent videos.

  • Great game, excellent commentary, thx

  • amazing.

  • instead of Qh1 check why not Qd1 check? why say there is only one check when there are 2?

  • @DanielManahan

yes he probably overlooked that. Qd1 Kg2 Qg4+ Bg3 no more checks. Don't be so lazy. You can calculate that yourself ;).

  • At the very end 4:54 couldn't Black check on d1?

    ...Qd1+

    Kg2 Qd5+

And now White cannot go back to the first rank because of the perpetual check and has to move to either g3 or h3... That's where my calculation stops. :)

  • Thanks chessnoir
