It's just a different mindset on a different animals. I'm sure people who have pigs as pets think the way anyone treats/kills/eats a pig is wrong as well.

That is also a large generalization. I've lived in Korea for almost a year now and many Koreans that I"ve met have never eaten dog, nor do they want to.
