PAX 2010 Tetris Attack Tournament Final

I really really hope there's one of these at PAX East 2012. I would love to school me some Tetris Attack players. ^^

The TV was a Sharp Aquos LCD. I'm guessing there may have been slight delays, but it didn't affect me much. I play on LCDs all the time.

I recommend bringing your own controller to this tournament. The provided controllers were third party and in subpar condition.

And practice on the SNES version. Playing at lv 8 VS Garbage Mode is the standard at 2011 tournament.

Next time I am THERE! I won't claim how I will do. Did the TV's have any delay whatsoever? Even 1 frame? They look like RCA death.

Everyone says, "if I was there..." and claim they would have been 1st place. Too many people talk online, and never does any walking. yawn... I'm bored reading such short novel...

There is a difference between playing vs. CPU & a tourney. Pressure, Stress, Audience, Noise, and opponent's trash-talk can influence an opponent's ability to perform. Anyone that wants to claim to be better should attend PAX Prime 2012 and make their point there...

These people are playing good. But this is a disappointment for a TOURNAMENT FINAL. And regarding chains, I can easily make it into the 15's in the first few seconds and yet these people... *shakes head*... they really don't compare... I would have definitely ranked number one if I was there.

Next Year at PAX 2011, you should make an appearance at the Classic Console booth and challenge the Champion and all the skilled players. But I agree, the game video of the Tournament Final Round seemed plain. If there was a recording of all the Tetris Attack games played that day, such criticism could have been avoided?

It was fun competing with skilled players. I wish there was a medal, but Ill survive. I already recieved a medal for SSF2T HD REMIX.

My competitive matches were against:

Round 2: against a girl.

Quarter Final: Puzzle Master... LOL

Semi Final: im waiting for his email

Next year, i promiss to bring players as good or better than me.

My suggestion:

1) Game should be LV 8 or higher?

2) First to win 2 games (instead of single game elimination)

3) more advertising prior to next Tournament

I will remember to do a few things at 2011 PAX.

1) bring my copy of Panel or TA to PAX. - 32 people shared one TA Cart

2) bring my own Controller (like I did with SSF2T HD Remix) - I only should trust my controller

3) invite my collegues and friends to PAX classic console Tournament for a even better turn out.

Thanks for the fun event. I hope at PAX 2011, there will be a Tournament for Tetris Attack (SNES), Pokemon Puzzle League (N64), Planet Puzzle League (DS), and Street Fighter 2 or Turbo (SNES).
