@visualvision I have an open bite as well, but instead of having surgery I got two screws in my gums with springs that connect to my expander, which somehow closes my bite. I was really glad though because my parents would not have paid for the surgery which is like $20,000 compared to $3,000. But good luck with your surgery! Cheers
I just had my jaw surgery just recently in July. =] You'll do awesome. but yeah you'll look wonderful when they're done everything. plus you look still. =] but yeah i get my braces off in a month
...(cont'd) date is difficult:) It's so WORTH IT!! I'm really excited for surgery and your videos are really interesting and reassuring to know that someone else is going through a similar process. Post-surgery is going to be really interesting:)
Anyway, keep up the great work and it's totally going to pay off- you'll have an amazing smile and occlusion/bite!
I am also a dental hygienist so I have a different aspect. Anyway, I have an anterior open bite about 5mm. A little history: I was in ortho when I was 10-12 yrs old-lost my retainer so teeth shifted, possibly my jaws were still developing so it shifted my bite, and I had a tongue thrust which all opened my bite. So currently I'm in ortho again just to prepare for surgery-which hopefully will be in about 3 mos but as you know getting a surgery...
Hi i have a question! Is you TMJ due to your undeerbite? i have an underbite, and everytime i open my mouth my jaw cracks! its not necessarily painfull however its unconfortable and causing me ear pain ...
I hope you get out of pain! Thats terrible when my tmj hurts its only lasting for about 5 minutes. Did you fix your tongue thrusting problem yet?? Thanks for posting videos

Your teeth are getting straighter! Pressure is a good thing with braces! :-)
