I know the Green Lantern comics had that in them, and this movie tried to stay with the original Green Lantern, but that was my only problem with the movie. Frankly, I read the reviews and some critics could not understand how the plot developed. But when I saw the movie, I thought most of the critic's problems were actually dealt with in the movie.

For example Sinestro (the red alien that makes the speech) will hear Hal Jordan not in english but in Korugarian (he´s from Korugar). In the book "green lantern: rebirth" in one of the pages Hal Jordan can´t understand Sinestro because he is too far from him for the ring to translate. I hope this clears you confusion, dude.

Well this at least looks better than that first Green Lantern trailer.

The CGI is a little excessive IMHO but maybe they can make it work out somehow.

Here's hoping Gil Kane's family gets at least something out of the box office profits for this flick. Do the right thing Warner Brothers.
