  • I've caught plenty of fish within 20ft. Just saying....

  • Not everyone, but a lot of people can throw 100' of line out there without a haul but who gives a shit, its all about the presentation. Not saying that yours isnt good but show the who line and the end result. By the way that doesnt look like 100' to me.

  • @highroller181818 Stalking a fish and roll cast can be far more important than distance most days!

  • is simple, just press the line with the index on the handle

  • Um, who is this guy getting all upset over the comments. Seriously. First off, not one person should be impressed by this. #1 how is the line landing? I can shoot a crap load of line and have a pile of crap out in the grass. Is this guy casting 100ft with a nice clean turnover? And, how do we even know for sure he is really casting that far? Just because the title says 100ft the camera is focused only on the caster. You need to calm down triviumlambofgod. It is Youtube bro.

  • @7215SE64TH you're damn right buddy

  • I'm shocked how few people understand why this video is impressive

    1. no he is not hauling, in fact he isn't even using a line hand

    2. 100ft is a respectable cast even hauling (you'd be surprised how many avid fly fishers cannot accomplish this)

    3. many people seem to believe that a good cast is in the 200ft range. this is false. anglers like steve rajeff cast 200+ft but only using shooting heads and tournament fly casting rods. with a REAL fly rod I doubt even rajeff could cast 150-160ft+

  • @Massangler1856 I can only get about 80 ft on an 8wt with a shooting head...and that's with double hauling.

  • @pugilist102 this guy does not cast 100' on this video, because he has about 20 feet of running line on the grass so he must have 80' out the rod, and his casting stroke his way to fast for casting 80' of line out the rodv tip, and there is absolutely no proof that the cast he just made is 100' long,

  • @StcroixNick 50ft behind and 50ft ahead. Thats 100ft. Now empress me with 100ft each way .

  • @cantfish06 naww I'm not here to say that I'm the best but with a short head fly line you can easily cast as far as you cast without having 100 ft out of the rod. sorry I didn't meaned that your stupid or anything else I don't want to insult anybody but you know the net is the net . . we can put anything we want I'm sure that you're a great caster but it's hard to be sure that the cast is just made is really 100 ft.

  • to cast 100foot with no hauling is not that special to be honest, but hey ho

  • @scott19741974 Casting to 100 feet without hauling is quite exceptional - Chase is one of the very few that can manage this

  • nice cast

  • Are you using a shooting head to accomplish this or just a traditional WF line?

  • good job man, most of these people are morons and dont kno what there talking about

  • Great! Timing Man, se "Grayfisher1"

  • Hauling is pulling on the line with the hand not holding the rod. The left hand isn't holding the line, so there can't be a haul.

  • and?? You're hauling!!

  • @discogram no he's not?

  • You do haul with your left hand..

  • well everybody can do that, not impress
