Hello. Your project sounds very interesting. Indeed, the problem you were working on is one that many people have tried to solve unsuccessfully. However, as a scientist and composer I doubt the true efficacy of your system and am skeptical. Where are your results? Did you make up a program to translate mp3s to notes? Did you improve MIDI translation? BTW, whose work are you presenting? Is this professor also at Stanford? Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for your interest in my project! My research was in constructing a framework for music analysis/transcription: extracting physical models from music and inventing a machine learning mechanism to analyze these models for perceptual content. I'm the sole author of this research, and I did not work with a professor.
