I'd have liked to have seen the defendant's comments after the ruling. I want to know if she was being soft-spoken because she was intimidated or if she clearly knew she didn't stand a chance in court.
she told the plaintiff that she was going to tell the cops that he was harassing her during the dispute. meaning that she was going to lie and say he sexually harassed her. but than his girlfriend came in the scene and the defendant just stuck with saying they are armed robbers.

@echonoid If you settle in a regular small claims court, even though you get a judgment, you still may not ever get paid. If you go on JJ, she pays any judgment immediately (so the winner actually gets paid), and the loser is not required to pay JJ back (so the loser loses nothing but reputation).

@zKrellyn but some states in the U.S. have lower maximum amounts in small claims court....depending on the case, of course.....for example, in Oklahoma, the maximum amount for the charge of assault is $2000.

@iRunWithLife i'll have to watch this video again. the impression i got, and i could be wrong, is that he didn't look/act crazy. The way the defendant acted, what she did was crazy. She may normally be a nice lady, but she haden't slept well, so was not acting appropriately because of a lack of sleep. She should not have been behind the wheel of a car, as she lacked sleep, wasn't thinking right. Judge judy is smart and can usually tell when someone is lyin g.

The defendant is probably BPD-borderline personality disorder. Some people think BPD is a mental problem that requires treatment, but many more believe it is an excuse for people to be ASSHOLES. The defendant acted out- even taking it to court because she expected to get away with it. JJ held her to account for her actions. Sad that the first court didn't do the same.

She actually only got 2,500 for appearing on Judge Judy. The couple got a nice 7,500 put together. This is, assuming, she gets extra money for each case. If not, the woman ended up paying 2,500 out of pocket, which would have been hilarious.

They can't be convinced that there is anything wrong with their thinking. And an antisocial personality has no shame, they just take and use and they never lose sleep. This defendant might not be the most extreme, but she has very poor character and has NO business being a doctor.

@Buondelmonte123, Thanks. Anne is a great subject for a Stephen King Novel. I turned on the equalizer on my computer. You know what I found. Anne's voice never goes above 4.5, and 94% of her tone, While she speaks, is Mono and consistent. LIKE COMPUTER GENERATED VOICES. She's beautiful yes. However, I don't think I could ever fall asleep knowing she's in the same room with me. Especially if I made her upset about something. I was waiting for her to say, "I see dead people."
