I did everything you did but it doesn't work... I use a mac so i have to use a differant program for the easycap called videoglide capture and when i load it up it says "There is no supported hardware detected"

This set-up is proven to work, so I would presume its something possibly wrong with the settings on your capture software, or the device itself.

I can't get this to work.

I have a PS3, and am using this setup. I've used double-sided composite cables for output and plugged them into my TV and Easycap, and on Ulead I can see the TV channels when Im on TV Source, but on HDMI Source (I use HDMI For PS3) the source on Ulead instantly goes black. I try using AV Cables for Input on my TV and nothing even shows up on the TV!

i think i know the solution, you wont record when you play with hdmi, becouse the hdmi signal cant go over av,,

your screen goesblack when you use av cables, becouse ur ps3 thinks u are playin @ hdmi, so i think you need to reset ur ps3 - set up the easycap with av cables, and play with av cables on ur tv?

That is possible, but not recommended as there is a delayed associated with the 'preview screen' on your computer and your xbox.

The HD PVR is of course going to be better, everyone should know that. Most high end capture card units should out preform a lower rang card, that you can pick up for 1/10th of the price.

Yes you most defiantly can, in fact this is better to view on the TV and recording, as this does not lessen the quality as splitters do by well..splitting the audio and video.

I'm pretty sure my TV has no output jacks... For some reason splitters do not work either. I can get it to work, but each pin has to be laid perfectly on top of the splitter, not inside it... Is there normally much of a delay when it's fed through Easycap, or is it unplayable because of delay? (I've ordered Easycap but it's not been delivered yet, I need to know stuff before I start using it :3)

Hey, i got my easycap today and used this method, the video is ok but the audio is really crap, i tested it out watching different channels not just one. It sounds vers fuzzy like if you remember when you were 5 years old you have the tvs with this big antennas and you face them the wrong way or they have bad signal that (gzgzgzgzgzg) sound. Am i doing something wrong or would it be my rca cable because its an old one from a dvd player. Could you please answer. Thanks

You need to change to voice/sound settings on your actual xbox set-up. I cant properly remember where about they are, but look for audio settings -> voice etc.

Or you could just get the red, white, yellow from ur xbox and plug into the easycap becasue there is already wires for the screen, thats the easiest way.

The Other cables (red, green blue) are only video only, and would need the optical audio as well. Many people people don't have that set-up so I differed teaching this method that works on all Xbox set-ups as long as the TV or amp has an output.

it was "old style" or better know as a CRT, but this can be used on a flat panel such as, LCD LED, Plasma etc they just heed the output RCA ports as shown in this video.
