This is my favorite version of this song. It's such a beautiful profound song that seems sad at first but then becomes quite lovely as Kermit admits that being green can be wonderful.
I love the color green because I find it peaceful and calming.
This is the version of Bein' Green I remember seeing first. That's sort of why I posted it on here. It's nice and quiet, mainly because the only instrument providing music to Kermit's bold vocals is a guitar, which makes it so simple yet so powerful.
Interesting. For me, the only one I actually remember seeing on the show as a kid was the one with Lena Horne. Then I saw parts of the '69 version on a special about Joe Raposo. They combined it with versions performed by Ray Charles and Raposo himself. Then, immediately after the special was the announcing of Henson's death, and it opened with a shot of this version. Although the announcer was talking over the song, I could still make out that Kermit was singing "Bein' Green" again.
I like kermit( U´艸`)

I was born in '75, too and I swear this was one of the first songs I ever heard as a newborn.

I like the 1969 version better, but this is still good.

Well, it's a remake, and in my opinion, few Sesame remakes are as good as this one.
Believe it or not, although both versions I remember from my childhood, I remember seeing this version before the 1969 version.
