I completely disagree. Having been a hella fan for years of the duo and seeing the 5 piece hella. The 5 piece band is different but still rips and the new players make the intensity ever more prevalent. Sure, have two math rock band mated synchronized is impressive but hella did it with 5 no sweat.

Zach Hill has the worst drumming technique of most famous drummers. Everything from the position of his kit to his posture is poor...but GOD DAMN that guy can freaking drum up a storm! if by taste, you mean delicacy and not going all out, then youre clearing judging Zach Hill on his performance only in Hella. if you want to hear his 100% listen to the album with Mick Barr called Shred Earthship. if you want to hear delicate, you can find more subtle drumming on The Ladies album he did with Rob Crow, or the Marnie Stern album. Hella is the perfect mix of delicate and crazy drumming.
