President Romney is also correct because he was a stake president. If Huck can not stand the heat in the kitchen then do not cook there. Stop using the churches for political gain and the media will stop referring to him as the former preacher.
Chuck has a point. I think neither of them should be scrutinized. The media is constantly trying to say that Huckabee cant get anyone to vote for him but evangelicals. They want to brand and define him their way. They need to focus on the fact he was a governor for 10.5 years...and a good one.
Chuck will have a point when that morbid obese person runs on his record as governor. He has run as "christian leader". his supporters do not care about the issues.
thats not questioning his religion! Are you kidding me? Quit lookin for stuff. Chuck has a good point and its not an attack on Romney, its pointing out a bias in the media with how they reference Huckabee.
C(huck) are so out of touch here. They run Christian ads, with crosses floating in the background, and talk about Christ at every stump. And that was all good because Iowa has more evangelicals than any other state. Now that he is on a larger stage he doesn't want to be labeled as the Christian candidate so he is emphasizing his public record. C(huck) can't have it both ways. And besides, has anyone been scrutinezed more than Romney about his religion?
ummmm yes....are you kidding me? What did you just do in your note? Huckabee has had his faith scrutinized more than anybody. I dont care whether Romney is a Mormon or not...doesnt matter, but the point is that there are just as many or more that are biased toward Christians. including the media.
Go back and watch Meet the Press and contrast Romney vs Huckabee on the amount of time spent on religion. It comes out to be double the time for Romney. I'm not saying Huckabee isn't questioned...but to compare it to Romney and Mormonism. C'mon, your blind if you can't see how much Romney's been beaten up over it. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but Mormonism isn't the hip, new, awesome religion it once was...wait, it's never been hip, new, or awesome!
Meet the Press....One interview! I admit that Romney has probably suffered for his religion, but what Im saying is that it is wrong to say that he has been scrutinized more than governor Huckabee. I think the safe thing to say is that neither one of them should be scrutinized. The point of chuck's comment is that the media is taggin Huckabee as a minister without equal reference to him being a governor.
Mitt Romney was also a Stake President...so why don't we call him President Romney? I guess that example would defeat C(huck)'s purpose for using the "I'm a poor evangelical Christian who just won the Iowa Caucus because I pushed my religion, now when it's not convenient...THIS just isn't fair!"
What was the point? Huckabee advertised that he was a "christian leader" now we should not call him a minister? That rug on his head must constrict the blood.
Why dont who call Romney a Bishop? I'm 100% sure that whatever congregation Romney was a Bishop for, still calls him Bishop Romney. I still call every Bishop I've known, Bishop.
Part 2. Huck went from being a baptist minister straight to the public sector, earning his living from taxpayers. (When Romney was Governor, he refused to accept a salary.) Huck has never had a real job. Even his formal education is questionable preparation for the role of President of the United States.
Part 1. Mormon pishops are not paid clergy. While Romney was serving as a bishop on Sunday's, he was likely working 80+ hours a week as a venture capitalist/private-equity investor, adding value to our economy. Huckabee, on the other hand, was a full-time, paid baptist minister, like an employee of a charitable organization who gets paid out of the charitable donations. It makes me sick.
Two men who look like apes and deny evolution.

A little nuance that Norris doesn't get about the LDS church:
Mitt Romney was (past tense) a bishop.
Mitt Romney was (past tense) a stake president.
These positions in the church are not life-long positions.

Chuck wants in on the Brinson marketing list. Norris needs to get a job.

Mitt Romney IS a bishop. Look it up.
It is a matter of fact and record...
Not sure why Chuck Norris brought it up... but it is quite true.
