  • The Free Design are frigging amazing with or without drugs. Apparently Chris was very anti-drugs, but this band does have a great psychedelic sound. The Enoch Light stuff is also pretty "groovy",

But I can't deny that listening to them when high on the right stuff can be a truly wonderful experience.

  • What is interesting is this seemingly simple children's song deals with divorce, loss of friendship, death and religion.

  • with what for a gum you cant make bubbles? question around send

  • I love this song! Since I heard it on the PPG soundtrack... wow... the nostalgia...!

  • 'Bubblegum kinda' I think... :P

    Love this song

    Love bubbles... :)

  • Wow, that was really cool!!! One of my favourite songs and the bong shot... priceless!!

    5 stars!!!

  • i said LSD song because its a great song while on LSD.

  • the best LSD song ever. By the way

  • who sings this song please?

  • The Free Design, ablum: Kites are Fun, Song: Bubbles.

  • I love this song! Especially the bass line.

But I just have one question, does anyone know if the lyrics are "bubblegum candy keeps my heart from getting heavy and crying" or "bubblegum kinda etc"?

  • After listening to this song, I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail my drug test next week. Great stuff!

  • incredible harmony.....incredible music!!!!!

  • The best song no one's ever heard. And the bong does have to be in there. The notion to make a video for a Free Design tune doesn't come after a HF sundae, you dig?

  • pretty sophisticated group too

  • A lot of people are into retro...

  • Great song and group! Problem is their music is simply too sweet and innocent for today's average young adults. Popular music of today is so mean-spirited, dripping with pessimism and sarcasm. I have a theory. Music started becoming dark and miserable around the time of the demise of 45 R.P.M. records, which were often purchased by preadolescents and young teens that had not yet become jaded by the realities of life. Often costing less than $1, 45s in many respects drove the music industry.

  • That's a really good theory. My theory is that the earlier pop music drew on authentic traditions--Jazz, folk, blues, classical. When that music became more inaccessible, it became more derivative, staler, relying more on sensation, a heavy beat, etc. rather than melody and harmony.

  • Free Design made a new fantastic album on marina records.

  • cute

  • it's about bubbles. and only bubbles. not bongs.

  • thats great! lol i actually want some bubble gum now
