There's no new controller! They all evolved following eachother. Any Joypad have buttons, transistors, Dpad and a analog stick, all old technologies. So why not include motion sensors as well? And about the Playstation controller, They hardly change that thing, since the first Playstation it looks basically the same. They've already attempted to change it to some kind of boomerang but the fans didn't like it. So maybe its just perfect no need to change anymore.

Who said it was a new technology. and at 2:30 he said it's limited vs the one from 1999... and that said, the PS3 one is more precise, and the pros of it... so how is it limited compared to the one from 1999, it's obviously more precise and a better controller. But anyways, the point of my comment, is that motion controllers have been around for AGES, even Nintendo had the Power Glove back for the original nintendo, which was a motion type controller. So, no, it's not new, but it is good.
I just find it funny that Sony had everyone believe that the initial shipments of Sixaxis controllers without vibration had to do with the vibration messing with the tilt sensors. We all now know the real reason was a patent infringement lawsuit from Immersion Corp. that was settled a year after launch. Thank God DualShock 3 followed!

My PS3 controller (AKA dualshock 3) has vibration, and it's motion sensor works just fine. And in that sense, it is revolutionary compared to that piece of garbage.
To prove my point, the Dualshock 3 has triggers, which take more space than buttons, a lithium-ion battery, which also consumes a little space, magnetic motion sensors and two vibrators. If you did the same thing with the technology used at the time that the Pelican was made, It would be about the size of a cinder block.

@ZyVonic no, people misunderstand... it is new technology... the sixaxis is new the tilt controller used a free floating weight inside of it, the sixaxis is more accurate and it isnt a 3 pound controller

@ukrainiaNManiak You miss the point of the video. The point is not about wires and is not about vibrate, because those can or cannot be there and it doesn't change the controller much. He's focusing on the tilt technology that Sony fails to say had been done before the PS3. They want everyone to praise them for innivation, when all they did was replace "vibrate" for "wireless" and "tilt". I'll stick to Wii.

@ukrainiaNManiak I might be a fanboy. I don't care. the games I played made some of the biggest innovations. Nintendo started motion control. Mario started the concept of "beating" a game. Zelda was the first to eliminate the score system. Mario 64 was the first leap into 3d done right.
If all you want is explosions and war and graphics, go ahead and play your overpriced PS3. Or you can grow a pair and not care about graphics. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is still my favorite game.

@Crossmanson1 go ahead I have another 6 sites i could show you that say it has 1 cpu and 8 spe's (of which 7 spe's are used and 1 is reserved for dashboard). The interesting thing is that the 360's cpu being based on the cell's technology never knew that and that ibm were hiding the cell from ms and the xenon from sony rofl talk about playing both sides.

The difference is the refinment. Such as now the controller does have force feedback. A lot of stuff is new. Hears a good example. The wii controller is just a 20 year later refined power glove.

There's no new controller! They all evolved following eachother. Any Joypad have buttons, transistors, Dpad and a analog stick, all old technologies. So why not include motion sensors as well? And about the Playstation controller, They hardly change that thing, since the first Playstation it looks basically the same. They've already attempted to change it to some kind of boomerang but the fans didn't like it. So maybe its just perfect no need to change anymore.

Who said it was a new technology. and at 2:30 he said it's limited vs the one from 1999... and that said, the PS3 one is more precise, and the pros of it... so how is it limited compared to the one from 1999, it's obviously more precise and a better controller. But anyways, the point of my comment, is that motion controllers have been around for AGES, even Nintendo had the Power Glove back for the original nintendo, which was a motion type controller. So, no, it's not new, but it is good.

I just find it funny that Sony had everyone believe that the initial shipments of Sixaxis controllers without vibration had to do with the vibration messing with the tilt sensors. We all now know the real reason was a patent infringement lawsuit from Immersion Corp. that was settled a year after launch. Thank God DualShock 3 followed!

My PS3 controller (AKA dualshock 3) has vibration, and it's motion sensor works just fine. And in that sense, it is revolutionary compared to that piece of garbage.
To prove my point, the Dualshock 3 has triggers, which take more space than buttons, a lithium-ion battery, which also consumes a little space, magnetic motion sensors and two vibrators. If you did the same thing with the technology used at the time that the Pelican was made, It would be about the size of a cinder block.

That controller substitutes motion for analog sticks, ps3 uses analog sticks and sixaxis to do different things not the same functions and if u think that's tiring, you will never play a wii or ps3
