shit review.. he doesnt even know the diff between lcds and leds ( thats y he kept mixing the terms)... leds are much more advanced than leds... the picture contrast and brightness do not deteriorate on an led if your watching from diff angles ...and alsi the colour depth is much more superior.. well this is what happens if you dont know your shit and start reviewing things coz you just want easy money , repetitive and lack of details in the review ... @umairyc  You should make sure you know what you are talking about before critiquing other people. An LED is an LCD. So its easy to mix up the names. The proper name of an LED is "LED LCD". The difference between the older LCD and the newer LED LCD is the back lighting. LED has LED lighting while older LCD has florescent lighting.

@DominatorPS3 "hz" stands for "hertz"... Its basically the speed at which the TV can refresh images. The higher the number, the smoother moving images look. I have a 120hz LCD (non-LED). Its a feature that you have to turn on to see. I believe its called "Auto-Motion Plus" with Samsung.

ccfl backlights, when used properly, actually put out more pure white light, if they used the right color temperature one when they built it.

white LED;s are actually just blue LED;s with a phosphor coating to convert it to white. so its not really pure white

yes they are pretty much the same LCD but sometimes they are called LED because of the different technology incorporated in it. it is just for identification purpose, once you call the television a LED TV, you will know that light emitting diodes are useD. compared to generAlizing them all as LCD, you may get used confused if it really is only an LCD or it's the newer version of LCD that uses LED.

This HDTV is Edgelit LED which is no much of the difference than the CCFL. It dims the whole picture at once. And does not outperform plasma.

Whereas the Local Dimming LED have discrete dimming zones which dims independently which allows it to have a deep black in in dark room.

Local Dimming LED is able to compete and outperform a Plasma but not the Edgelit LED.
