  • AIDS is a pharma scam - the 2 protein HIV test is cross-reactive with drug use, all vaccinations and pregnancy among many other conditions - hivquestions - peace

  • Longing For Freedom is a 90-minute feature film

which tells the story of a young woman who liberates herself from an

    ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP.

Please have a look at the trailer and let us know what you think.

    Thanks,

  • niggerz be makin a moobie an sheyit

  • Oprah is subversive to society. She promotes whacky cures & voodoo witch doctor methods that are sometimes dangerous. Instead of helping the US economy, she spends millions of dollars on schools in Africa that will end up becoming rape grounds of young girls as the savages there continue to destroy the legacy the British left them.

Oprah needs to less brainwashing & more sock washing.

  • @USRecovery2kX Th British left a legacy in Africa? Are you that delusional or just plane brainwashed? And since you're so good at criticizing what Oprah should or should not do, what have YOU done? Good luck on "recovering" USA after voting for an idiot twice in a row!!!

  • yo Oprah, go make a project for a movie with white people in it...this is once again pure discrimination towards white people...bunch of racists!

  • kiss kiss hug hug promote promote

  • mariah carrey looks sooo much better in real lif than in the movie

  • @Ansem117 I think you mean she looks so much worse in real life, because she's more real in the movie than you've ever seen her anywhere else.

  • @Ansem117 you don't understand this movie what so ever do you.

  • @frankieuk11 actually yes i do

  • I thought the movie was already in the can before Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry got involved with distributing the movie?

  • Oprah has ZERO talent. I will NEVER understand how she got where she is.

  • what are you talkin bout girl???

  • Just watching this movie was so so sad and there was scene I just didnt want to watch so I close my eyes. It seem to real!!! Monique part was down right repulsive, she played it to real. Jesus, I'm just bless I never seem or experience such hatred from my mom or any other race.

  • mo niques amazing in the movie

  • The only thing I was left wondering with is what ever happened to the notebook she left behind on the counter when she took off running with the chicken. I thought someone was going to track her down or something.

  • @BenevolentShadows The 'real' Precious, as described in 'Push', is a truly HUGE girl of 6'4"-6'7" tall, 375-400 pounds, and a skin complexion matching or darker than new black clothes in a department store. Oprah built a girl's school in South Africa to improve the educational standards of grade- and high-schools in disadvantaged areas. Way to go Oprah!

  • You know what I take back all the negative stuff I said about this movie!! Poor power to Monique and Gabe!! I'm sure they'll wind up on some all black comedy sitcom produced by Taylor Perry on either BET or TBS!

  • Sorry but i know a lotta pregnant and white people in nasty situations. Its a good message for a lot of women in general.

  • @ aybay96...my mom was never a prostitude and what the fuck that has to do with my comment? Lol ...anyhow. I still think this shit sucks!!!aka the movie. Go see up in the air and 2012...those R MOVIES!! :)

  • i wouldn't pay a dollar for your prostitute mother

  • @alhambramoors89 Way to go Oprah! The movie you promoted won two Oscars (Best Supporting Actress and Best Adaptation of a previous story) and has launched the acting career of Gabourey Sidibe who carries herself so well despite her plus-size and has lots of TALENT and a very charming personality. Monique is a GREAT actress who clearly deserved her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress! 'Precious' also revived Mariah Carey's career.

  • u are an ass ejuoi

  • your mom looks worse

  • she was raped by you. fuckin gorilla

  • Amazing and beautiful story. I have a heart for others. How anyone can watch this and feel anything but compassion for this girl is beyond me. Its not tragic,,,, its that she overcame

  • i hate happy lovvy dovvy stories. i love sad stories or stories with risk danger and failure. it is a lot more real unlike disney joke stories which is what most stories are

  • I just watched the film and I loved it.

  • Ok all we need now is that hot lady in the end loves me :p

  • dayummm what happened to mariah she looks like she's 50

  • @ChicoriTV I have to agree with you...i thought it was tragic! i mean, its like every bad thing that could ever happen to a person happened to her!! She's poor, she's abused, she made fun of, she raped, etc etc etc....I think it's too much negative and not enough positive to at least make the audience feel in the end that she can make it.

However, saying that...its was well acted and Mo'nique made me hate her and feel for her at the same time. I don't see the point of Mariah's character though.

  • oh come on! this isn't about race it's about stuff that happens

  • THE BLIND SIDE IS BETTER!!!!!!!!!!

  • that was off the hook and sb won people choice award. i really enjoyed it. i was the only ninja in theater, but it was all gud.

  • because you're blind :)

  • Excellent movie!

  • She will never be ok! This is never ok even if it brings you millions? I'm glad to see the movie and hope that it awakens everyone!!!

  • umm...I'm pretty sure her weight wasn't supposed to the center concept of this film. It's abuse, adversity, and hardships. There are fat people everywhere, and *gasp* a reality based movie with a fat girl in it...Oh noes! Maybe they should have gotten a ridiculously hot girl to play the victim. This girl in the movie is fat and talented, and I would much rather watch her in an award worthy role than another stupid hollywood film, where a fat man wins every hot girl around him. How is that right?

  • she came to fuck your mom

  • need to see the movie

  • sadly all the college work I have to do and I have time 2 post a youtube comment. Well I was wondering if OBAMA was going 2 or has seen this film considering that Oprah practically elected our president.

  • fyi: uh, she won't be ok.

  • this bitch playin oprah winfrey when she was young.

    i am 100% sure

its exactly the same story but would never admit it

  • It's based on a novel douche

  • this movie is about OPRAH when she was a teenager. I know it because I did some research.

    open your eyes and SEE

  • she was a black, teenage mother, sexually, physical and emotionally abused, HIV positive, illiterate and in an incestuous relationship with her father?

  • Mariah's looking ooold.

  • She said she was in college when she got the part, so she's probably in her twenties now.

  • ooooooooooh I hope you get your throat slashed.

  • Cant live with em......can live without em,

  • @hiphop2318

*sigh* racists and racism...must be stamped out

  • she's playing a teenager who is 16...in real life she's like 23 or 24 year old

  • Oh! Gee! I imagined this movie to be about PEOPLE?!! This black/white thing? BLARNEY! All around the world PEOPLE suffer abuse by the hands of PEOPLE, or themselves. When will everybody realise that? By the way, judgment that Oprah used her "star power" to promote the film, why don't those that judge this look behind their own doors, they 9 times out of 10 use OTHERS to promote themSELVES. Not for or against Oprah herself. Atleast she has herself to promote whatever it is that needs promoting.

  • She REALLY let herself go after eating that ladie's face...

  • Why don't you go back to school, or take an English 101 class in college to learn proper grammatics..... Idiot

  • fucking rated R :/

  • @thatkid1011 Yeah, 'Precious' had to be 'sanitized and edited from the novel 'Push' to keep it from getting an NC-17 or X rating...

  • Switch to decaf, hon.

  • People will never cease to criticize what they fail to understand, some people are just beyond reason. My thing is, if you don't like the movie, evenn before it comes out; DON"T GO TO SEE IT and stop ruining it for everyone else.

  • Mariah when r u gonna have babys?

  • You are an idiot also. You spelled "babys" wrong. iDIOT. it is spelled "BABIES"

  • relax yeah ..this aint english class ..grammar really doent matter ishh look how much mistakes im doing seriously gosh ppl these days ....??

  • oh MaliBabe02, you're so cute!!! I was just bored and drunk!!! Chill.. BTW, I just saw the movie for the second time last nite!! LOVE IT!!!! it's the best ever!!! It crosses ever racial, political, economic line. I'm a 20something middleclass native american living in a suburb that can really relate to this story.

  • Movies, songs, rap, books, etc all tell a story. This movie tells a story. Why over analyse what it means to you. The trailer entertained me....i have seen girls like precious. The "arc of hope" is possible and this movie may inspire. If for that alone, is worth seeing it. If movies can be made about Dinasaurs, pimps, gangsters, drug dealers, etc. Why cant "Precious" be made? If we can have a "Pretty Woman", why cant we have a "Precious?" And why does one have to live up to the other?

  • My question is, what is the purpose of movies; to entertain, sure, to decompress for escape or to give pause for contemplation? I think the perspective you bring to what the purpose of this movie is will alter the end result of feeling that it's negative, stereotypical and derivative. Or you'll see it with light, inspiration and self-motivating properties to beleive and acheive more. I'm down for seeing black actors on the big screen. Thank you O and T for this offering.

    love you peeps on Ytube

  • i love oprah and everything she stands for we need nore ppl the power to do what we need and dam tyler perry is the bomb

  • why dose everybody thinks that this is a race thing?because black people work on it?because the black community gose though this?......well get it out of our head!this happens to everyone!im upset at my race thinking that this is explotation.....in the book that this is based of they dis not say "this is only for african american girls".stop making everything about a color and a race.everything in movies like this is not about exploittaition of a race.

  • I agree 100% with you!! I dont understand why people have to bring the race thing into this movie. Please is not about being pregnant and black ...

  • I helped my community by not giving in to the stereotypes presented to me by our society. I've given plenty of support to folks in my old "hood" who were struggling, but I didn't wallow in it and make a huge drama out of every bad thing that happened in our community. If everyone's comfortable w/ the fact that: when this movie is released worldwide, MORE people will simply continue to believe that we (black people) are always going through some crazy drug-related, teen pregnancy drama..FINE.

  • im gunna go and see this

  • Oprah didn't make the film she add herself as a producer to help the movie get the attention it deserves. I think the negative comments here are adding more to the sterotype of black people not the movie. The movie displays black actors doing a hell of a good job. Maybe thats what Oprah was trying to get America to see. Every weekday Oprah face is plasterd on almost every tv across the world thats proof that balck people " achived things". What have you done for your community?

  • Why do we (black people) still support idiotic portrayals of "our" so-called street life/drama when most of us have learned to get up and move on?!

Not all black folks are these overweight, church goin', always pregnant drama queens. Why can't Oprah make a film about black people who have actually achieved things, without using some delusional hippie/ex-stripper's (Sapphire) ghetto drama novel as a backdrop? Why not? Oh yeah, that doesn't sell in LA. Thanks Oprah!

  • Wind, people of every race suffer abuse. I do not share your viewpoint. When you are hurt you have to heal before you can move on. You took this very personally. I invite you to care about those who have been abused and know that not healing is a major reason of why the cycle continues and even serves as the basis of criminal activities for many. Have more love in your heart and view yourself and black people in general in a positive light. The truth will set you free!

  • True, good point. Blacks who have made it want to promote a sense of victim hood. Many Blacks are doing ok. It is the same as how they never portray poor whites, all whites in films tend to be beautiful and rich.

  • Take your negativity somewhere else, Oprah is helping new actors/actress get the notice they deserve. This movie is not suppose to focus on ghetto drama. Its more about abuse, self beauty and loving yourself. This is a very powerful movie, so stop it already. Support this new actress and go see the movie!!

  • ...or they can go see Tom Cruise save the world.....again!

  • You also forgot Bruce Willis. LOL

  • Let it go.....we let white people sensationalize prostitution (Pretty Woman) and allow good looking white guys like Tom Cruise save the world everyday. Who cares? The trailer was entertaining and I dont care it comes from the ghetto. The ghetto is real. Sure, we need more movies where black men look and act like Bill Cosby and Tyler Perry does those too. The social worker, doctor and teacher are educated black people! Get over it!

  • Thank you 'violet46' that is so true. Calous minds are commenting. It seems to be an excellent film, about a young lady going through abuse(what would that have to do with Big Mama's house) which was a comedy.

Abuse has no color although some people act like it does.

When Hollywood make a film about little girls being raped and buried alive. do they classify as a big mama film, which are also tragic films.

  • it's amazing that a teenage girl like her has no acting experience or lessons and can put on a performance like this. that's what you call raw and natural talent.

  • I'm ready to go see this, I put the trailer on facebook..maybe more people will see more circumstances in life, and that you have make something to look forward to.

  • lolol damn oh folks r too funny

  • dear wahate ver your name is belowme this is not just intended for blacks this is intended for whites black all races its just that u dont see a lot of white people going through wat she is going through u acist bithc

  • Thank you! Very well said. I am white but I enjoy black films as much as any black person would. I have seen all the Tyler Perry films and loved every one of them.

  • ur welcum

  • dude this is no way a "baby mama ghetto drama" movie. read the book n u will b so damn surprised.

  • dude...get a clue!I read PUSH twice & I am VERY aware of how this book came to be since I heard the author's interview ablut it when it was released 13 years ago on the radio. And it is exactly a ghetto-baby-mama-comin-up-in the hood-trash fantasy.

  • I read your blog you talk with some wisdom.Yeah your right. This book was written a long time ago and now its Oprah's pet projec? Why?Shit has been going on in the ghetto way before this book and now she cares? This movie is just another way to defame us even more.I read the book and I had tears in my eyes.Ghetto is the trade name for us that they are profiting off of.Hollywood uses that theme to make people laugh, sell clothing labels, and promote period. We black people promote this BS?Sick!!!

  • yes i have read the book but it sounded like u were sayin it was just another "Big Mamas House" movie that was just plain stupid. nxt time explain ur thoughts more.

  • Your concerns demonstrate your ignorance. See the film and THEN bring your two-cent ass back up in here with the same shit. Which will really demonstrate that you're analytical skills have been retarded for whatever reason. a

  • Man...thanks for spoiling

  • i know! man what the fuck...

  • Luckily I already forgot what he said haha. And im not gonna open his spam message =D

    But yea, that sucks.

  • gawd did u have to spoil it?goddam.even my mom wuldnt tell me wat happened

  • Have you seen it? winning sundance awards, the top TIFF award and already getting oscar buzz I think it at least deserves to be called a movie

  • weelll, maybe ur mad becuz ur pushing 60, and u know ur dreams will never be accomplished. too bad, so sad,

  • So it's a ring that gives her the powers! I knew something was up.

  • Wow Mariah looks unrecognizable.

  • yea looks like she is dying of aids

  • yea she said the producer of the movie told her to take off all her makeup and that she has been through alot of ruff things in her life so shes happy to show the world that shes not so glamourous all the time! But i think MC a good singer so thats all that matters!

  • The AP never fails to amuse me
