@pokerkingjw the motor is about 17550 rpm or so, 14500 are at best eff.
use this method, in step 1 we must calculate the tires rp / s: 17550 / 60 = 292.5. now take 292 / 40.5 = 7.23 Step 2: tires 125 x 3.14 = 392.5 now take 392 x 7.23 x 3.6 = 10.2 km/h... i rest my case! in this case the car was faster than the mathematic speed which is impossible, but on the other hand a new charged 7.2 battery are not at 7.2 but like 9 volt or so
you are dumb the truck wont actually go that fast on the road because it has to push arond the weight of the truck al it is doing on the tredmill is matching the tire speed with the tredmill speed =:)
Sorry to say, but you fail physics 101. The weight of the truck only influences acceleration. Vehicle drag, dynamic drag, and engine/gearing limitations limit the speed. The only type of drag this doesn't represent is dynamic drag (aerodynamics for the failing student) and how much dynamic drag is there on a 1/10 car at 10kmh? Very very little. If you don't believe me, ask another engineer. Haha. Class is dismissed.
Wow seriously dude I don't know why idiots have to come on someone's video and insult a total stranger they know nothing about with a drive-by comment. You are right, the air drag on a 1/10 scale model at 10 km/h is probably insignificant. And yes the acceleration is the only real thing that would be affected by the mass, which has nothing to do with this test.
Sweet

motor:14500 rpm
gear:40.5:1- hjul=358 rpm
hjul:12.5 cm- 39.5 cm per omdreining
14141 cm/m= 8.4 km/t
?

Nice Vid , but...
The Right would hold it with a cable, and put a fan in front, as in the dyno for real!

I have to admit this is very clever cheap idea. Instead of using Road speed test gauge.
mhageen123 3 years ago
only problem with this method is that its only going up to 16Km/h :)
