thts bull shit i've seen other dynos and the horse power came out to 435 whp with a stock 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L. so put the fucker back up there and do it again
@irishfighter429 Well it could be multiple things. One is the 87 octane, they only the make 412 at the flywheel or acounting for a roughly 10 percent drivetrain loss 370 at the wheels using 93 octane, so that could cause the issue. Another is that maybe (not saying these guys did) they ran it in 4th instead of 5th. That can also decrease horsepower. But still 311 at the wheels of about 340 at the crank is not that bad at all. Also the gearing in the rear end has a small effect.
you should let the motor break in and use the right octane then make another video so we can see what it can really do. love the grill and front fascia tho, looks pissed
@evo8s13 ? Different dynos? Where is the relation to my comment. I know dyno to dyno it's different but the mustang dyno (which I use as a standard.) are showing 365-405rwhp and the mustang dynos generally rate about 15% less than a dynojet in my experience. Which dyno are you using?
Wow Buschur is doing domestics now? For years he had been the pioneer of Eclipse/Talon and Evo peformance. In fact he had been my inspiration when I had my Eclipse and now my Evo. It coincidence becuase my second car I plan to get a 2011 Mustang GT convertible.
About the horsepower reading, different dynos read different, should only be used to establish baselines and see improvements as tuning tool. He was using 87 octane, and it's not the power it's what it runs on the track that counts.
First of all, that is on octane 87 pump fuel from the factory and with 18 miles on it. The motor doesn't even have an hour running time on it! Regardless, there are countless other cases of dyno tests in the real world that have all but unanimously validated the boasted stock engine performance. If people want to nit pick over barometric pressure, altitude, octane, mileage, HP rating standards and dynos, we can. These numbers posted are not typical, if even accurate. Stop the ignorant whining!
@Toromont123 It only has 18 miles on it. Engine isnt even really broken in yet. Once it hits around 200 miles the hp will increase dramatically. Dont know why they dyno'd it with only 18 miles on it....
Oh shit , the new 5.0 is almost similar in power with the famous LS1 . Even though I hate mustangs , I have to show love to Buschur Racing . Although this build could be absolutely bananas in a few months , seeing a custom twin 30r kit would leave me feeling all fuzzy on the inside .

@irishfighter429 - .... or instead of worrying about dynos since we dont race on them, we could go to the track instead.
You seem like a classy individual.

thats the weakest pull ive seen out of the 5.0s the octane bump makes a 50 hp difference! thats nuts.
I think it would be great to see a 91 octane pull when the engine is properely broken in for comparisin.
u guys gonna blow this one?

of course the factory says its between 350-370 hp car manufacturers have always exaggerated the truth
but in REALITY to the wheels its exactly what this dyno reads

311hp 274fl.tq is this a auto or manual?
all 5.0L I've seen dyno between 360/70hp and 350/60fl.tq at the rear wheels.
the pulls were done in 5ft gear 1.1 ratio, around 10% drive-train loss.
This number don't make sense, and imply Less advertise HP

@andrestnt mustang dyno brother. the ones youve seen were probably on dynojets.
shadowdreamzk20 1 year ago
@shadowdreamzk20 nope i seen 4 on mustang dyno's and 2 on Dynojets that read really Hi. insideLine use a dynojet and got 390hp.
