The coloring of an egg doesn't hurt the chicks at all. It's just an injection in the egg. Sooner or later the color fades and they return to their yellow color!

@falala74 oi oi oi...relax...first off those hats are not glued on. They are attached using a little trick that involves sugar...no harm done. Two...the coloring is based of a plant based dye. These little guys are wonderful little pets that just happen to look like chocobos at the moment.
