he is saying that japan officialy confirmed that it was a meltdown and not just a explosion... when did they do that? i live in belgium and saw the news and i think it was the prime minister on tv and he said no meltdown , no high radiation, there was partial meltdown of another reator wich exploded today, but not the first reactorexplosion , so what alex is saiyng isnt correct. no official confirmation.

The death toll in Japan will be huge after something like this and there will be people gone that they will never ever find after this tragic event. I pray for all those people who died and for those truly lucky ones that survived who may now end up dying a slow death caused by these nuclear explosions. I hope mankind awakes from its sleep and realizes that profits never in the end profit us as a human race.

Jones is making some very extraordinary claims about the Fukushima nuclear plant. He really needs to have some extraordinary proof to support them. He doesn't. There really is no need for fear on the level Jones is pushing here. This event is, at this stage, below the that of Three Mile Island. If the cores continue to coll, then all will be fine. Should the cooling proceedure fail, then it could esculate. At this stage, for those honestly interested, the cores are contained and being cooled.

Earthquakes are caused by stress points at fault-lines moving/shifting and releasing huge amounts of energy through the plates to the surface. I just don't get what you think will happen. Even if they tried to use it to further justify carbon taxes no one would take them seriously because there's obviously no correlation between the two phenomenons.

The most up to date source for news on this is definitely the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS).
Reuters etc have no access to officials at Fukushima.
They [TBS] did not lie about the time of the second explosion at all - their report was absolutely precise.
Fukushima_I_Nuclear_Power_Plant @ Wikipedia is being updated every few minutes.
This is real enough - but US residents need not start chomping kelp just yet.
