For any new players looking for the arena, the most convenient one is right outside of Fyrestone, in the middle of that little bandit village. It's up the ramp, near T.K. Baha's house! The multiplayer in those game could have been so much more though...

Geez they should have just made a mode dedicated to multiplayer where you can have 4 player splitscreen and you can choose whatever one of the 4 classes, have some arenas to pick from, and then each match u can find randomly generated weapons throughout...it all seems so logical to me xD

Ok i want to buy this game, but i want to know.. when you go into Arena can you go into one with your friends as a team and like search for another team to go against? Im sort of confused with how it works in the player vs player aspect of the game.

@Notorious250 Unfortunately not. You can only play with your three friends. You can change the teams to be however you want, but there isn't any kind of matchmaking.

@domnik25 Mostly the multiplayer is playing the normal game co-op. You can do deathmatches like this, but only with people that are already in your game. Basically, don't buy it expecting to do deathmatches, because you'll have trouble finding people that want to do them. It's a fun game, though.

@domnik25 Hmm, it depends. You'll probably get the most play time out of Borderlands, but it's way more fun if you have people to play it with. Or one other person at least. I'm not really a fan of the Dead Rising games, so I can't help you there. Force Unleashed seemed alright, but not great. What I played of Enslaved was pretty fun.

how you play arena. i think an options menu would be easier. i guess it adds to the atmosphere. is arena like Team deathmatch or like Demon's Souls? where it's PvP?

It's just deathmatch, but you can make the teams whatever you want. 3 v 1, 2 v 2, etc. It'd be really cool if they had something like 8 v 8 matchmaking with objective based games.

As it is, though, it's only with people you invite into your game world and you have to go to an arena in the world to play.

Just have one question? Has anybody tried the large arena? Isnt there any way to save the round in progress? Or do you really have to play the20 rounds in 1 go? Thats 100 waves-takes a lot of time. the game is made for pvp if people stop complaining about it being ballanced its not hard i 3v1 every kind of class make up you can think of on bothmy siren and hunter its easy get to 50 and pvp

In terms of shooting, it's tough. Not sure how it would go as gunslinger, but the combat is so fast that it's tough to get a shot off with a rifle. What balances it out is that bloodwing is overpowered as shit. Usually it can kill someone in one hit if you're spec'd for max bloodwing damage.

@XThedirtyseagullX Yeah, there are more open ones. Or at least one more open one. When I tried it was back when I was focused on the more powerful, slow firing rifles. Now I'm using faster firing ones, so that might be better. But you can take someone down pretty quickly with a couple shots, at least as long as you can get their shields down.

The bloodwing + a couple blows from the sniper rifle combo should do it.

@XThedirtyseagullX Yeah, he's actually insanely overpowered if your Bloodwing is leveled all the way up. Other people get taken down in one hit, mostly. It's not that much fun since you can either destroy people with no skill using your bloodwing or die trying to use a sniper rifle in the tiny arenas. Not sure how it would be for someone heavily into pistols.

@XThedirtyseagullX A fully leveled Bloodwing is basically unstoppable, but the problem is not getting destroyed before it has a chance to get someone. Scoped weapons like what I was using are useless in such close quarters, but I bet a pistol-oriented hunter could do well.

The encoder messed some of the colors up. Reds and blues are reversed, I think.

It's just the animation that happens when you die and respawn. There's a similar one when you spawn into the game/fast travel, but it isn't as cool.

You just go to one of the arenas when you have at least one other person in your game. There's a screen in there that you use to set up the teams and start a match. It's just deathmatch, but you can configure the teams however you want.

They're all over. There's one right outside of Fyrestone. Go up toward T.K.'s place and on the way you'll see a big sign off to your right that says Arena.
