  • Wasn't this song based on a comic book and radio series called "The Shadow" which ran from the 30's to the 50's and had as its punch line. "Who Knows What Evil Lurks in the Hearts of Men" Only the Shadow Knows.

  • is this their debute show where they're all tripping on acid? I hope so. haha

  • yeah

  • I saw that concert and they were the band I had hoped to see and was NOT disappointed in the least!

  • The piano and guitar sounds like it was recorded at Chess studios. Trippy Lieber/Stoller tune. Beter than the version by the Coasters.

  • Great memories! Anybody remember "Hang on Sloopy" from the Firehouse days?

  • "As I go sailing by" is one of my favorite songs ever! I grew up in SF and every time I go to Bolinas and sit on the beach I think of Richard Olson sitting there , on acid, writing that song...

  • I know Richard, and I was quite surprised to find out he was at the forefront of psychedelic music. what a cool cat.

  • Thanks for this documentry film, I learned a lot of information about that era I wouldn't get anywhere else.
