Last year, I already knew about Charice and her achievements but hadn't really watched/seen her in any video or performance. So when I was watching this live, I was actually unaware it was her (yes, I admit my ignorance) and so I was unbiased in my admiration for how well Charice sang this song - she sang it so beautifully, she made me feel the song like I have never before. Thank you, Charice, for using your talent in bringing out the best not just in a song, but in a country!

Perfectly sang only by Charice. I'm not only proud that we are both pure Filipina, but we also have the same First name "Charmaine" only by that it makes me so very proud. I'm a member of Iglesia ni Cristo, she was too, but she converted i guess due to her commitments. I hope someday she'll get back being a member. Well your truly amazing Charice! Stay humble... ^_^
@CharmLSA - she converted because she had been separated from her father who was an INC. charice and carl, who were INC members, grew up as practising catholics due to their mother's faith. they were not given the chance to practice their original faith, so HILAW. and in order to be a truly united family, the kids decided to be baptized catholics like their mom. as simple as that.
maybe someday they will come back; they were originally INCs, who knows? iisa lang naman ang DIYOS natin.

Aside form Ms. Lea Salonga, Charice sung this anthem perfectly, walang keme-keme sa pagkanta, walang arte, walang kulot-kulot... at hindi pa sumasabit. galing talaga ni cha-cha!!

kung gusto nyo talaga mamatay para sa Pilipinas. Kailangan mabuhay muna tayo ng tama para umangat ang bansang ito. Tamang pamamalakad ng gobyerno at disciplinadong mamamayan. Natatawa lang satin ang mga foreigners tinggin nila mga gago tayo. Hindi tayo gago, gago lang ang mga nakaupo sa gobyerno.

ngayon ko lang napanood ito.. i was linked here after watching her singing at pacquiao-mosely fight. here we can see that pwede maging powerful ang pagkakanta sa natl. anthem natin plus malagyan pa ng birit (for the sake of the singers) ng tama parin ang tempo/rhythm/pitch ng song. charice gave justice to the song :)

Last year, I already knew about Charice and her achievements but hadn't really watched/seen her in any video or performance. So when I was watching this live, I was actually unaware it was her (yes, I admit my ignorance) and so I was unbiased in my admiration for how well Charice sang this song - she sang it so beautifully, she made me feel the song like I have never before. Thank you, Charice, for using your talent in bringing out the best not just in a song, but in a country!

finally charice was given the chance the national anthem in her own land.. kasi nakakahiya naman na itong bata kumanta ng GOD BLESS AMERICA which is the U.S. second national song sa obama pre-inauguration, kumanta ng U.S. national anthem sa isang major baseball opening... so she finally got her wishes by singing LUPANG HINIRANG in a presidential inauguration. katawa, naunahan pa tayo ng mga kano. thank you ninang kris for inviting her over!

Perfectly sang only by Charice. I'm not only proud that we are both pure Filipina, but we also have the same First name "Charmaine" only by that it makes me so very proud. I'm a member of Iglesia ni Cristo, she was too, but she converted i guess due to her commitments. I hope someday she'll get back being a member. Well your truly amazing Charice! Stay humble... ^_^

@CharmLSA - she converted because she had been separated from her father who was an INC. charice and carl, who were INC members, grew up as practising catholics due to their mother's faith. they were not given the chance to practice their original faith, so HILAW. and in order to be a truly united family, the kids decided to be baptized catholics like their mom. as simple as that.
maybe someday they will come back; they were originally INCs, who knows? iisa lang naman ang DIYOS natin.

@CharmLSA - their mother who was a roman catholic, converted to INC, when she married her husband, and the children charice and carl followed their father's faith. so they were one united family of the INC. but when raquel separated from her husband, she returned to her catholic roots. and of course the children charice and carl followed through. no commitments here, it is just FAMILY UNITY IN ONE FAITH.

Not to put down the performance of the singer who sang the Philippine National Anthem in Arroyo's inauguration, but Charice was way better and actually received much applause for her performance. (I don't speak Filipino if anyone comments this post)

this is all about singing the right national anthem...but people loves to give opinions out of issue here when there are right venues to do it...rest your opinions to the right channel and not in this video especiall concering government problems and other issues not related to the subject matter...it sent bad vibes and pollutes the good energy of this video.

Charice is the only singer that passed the government standard in singing this controversial Phil. National Anthem....now IT CAN BE SAID, FOLLOW CHARICE VERSION AND THEY WILL NOT BE PENALIZED....that is world class, no one can beat Charice on this singining...first time the government gave their THUMBS UP FOR IT IS PERFECT...now this will not be a controversial for CHARICE RESOLVED IT for others to follow.
