This guy was very understanding - he's a good father, you can tell he has patience. I think if it were a man interviwing Mr. Atkins, he wouldn't have gone this far - you probably remind him a bit of Maddison.
From one j-school grad to another, the DIRECT approach is awful in this situation. Start with a favorite memory. Say you want to tell her story, relay how special a person she was, and let it come out that way. Say you wish you had known her more, and you want to preserve some of her memory for the other students.
