if we want to win more gold in the olympics like we used to, we need guys like Caldwell who have intangible gifts. I hope metcalf does well in the future, but I think caldwell has a better chance on the international scene. Metcalf seems to me like the same old college stud who just doesn't have anything extra to offer internationally. he is better than everyone at the same things every one else is doing, however Caldwell does things nobody does and has the arrogance to think they will work

Metcalf will not make the world team ever IMO. He finshed 6th last year at nationals and it is not like your elgibility will run out so he has a way to go to make an olympic team as I think 2012 is out of the question and 2016 is far down the road
