Dream on about Rome 2: Total War. They've already took it to almost their fullest max with Shogun 2: Total War.

Medieval: Total War looks EXTREMELY pitiful in battles compared to Shogun 2: Total War :P

But yeah... Rome 2: Total War'd be like Shogun but Rome, same graphics and that stuff. It will be made for Windows 7, as M2TW doesn't uninstall properly on Win 7, really long story, but I can't play it anymore.

I miss Rome Total War, I lost disk 2+3 and don't have it installed on my new laptop.

@St1ckm3npwn You need the triarii unit, it's special ability, and that isn't phalanx, that's tortoise formation, literally, and yes it is called that, where basically your immune to arrows so long as you dont give them gaps :P.

they could have added a level where you would have to attack a city.

but in the name of city building rome grand ages is simply the best :)

If you like city builders with a hint of combat you'll love this game. Users rate this game higher than gaming sites. It has a few minor bugs but is awesome despite them.

The Total War series. I think StrongHold 2 is a bit rubbish. It runs jerkily and feels too similar to the previous version..

Other than that stronghold 1 and crusader are badass, and i dont mind 2 much.

Crusader is solid. 1 is great too. I played both games for ages. In fact I still play crusader. They should release a knew modern version and make it similar in gameplay and feel to either 1 or crusader.

I got this for 20$ at my local walmart in Mt.Sterling, Kentucky. It is very hard, but it is fun. It has pretty sweet graphics for such an old game, too. If you like to build and sustain a community of people and build an army to take over neighboring enemies, it is definetly worth getting for only 20$.

It's a difficult to compare them.

Of cause, battle is superior RTW than Grand ages Rome.

GAoR is a City construction strategy.

I can recommend to this game, This game have a good campaign scenario, Player can play as Roman young Senator.

It's a good sight and play style, without RTW and other ancient Strategy.
