i dont really see a difference at all between these. i mean music is music and a cd player/mp3 player will play that music. dont get me wrong i have a zune myself. i just prefer an mp3 that can hold a set amount of songs whereas the cd player will only play whats on the cd.
NO the Zune holds the WMV video format which takes up less space than the mp4 format of the ipods. So therefore the ipod(8GB) holds about 8 hours of video whereas the Zune capable of the WMV format can hold about 25 hours of video in the WMV format. Now, if ipods could hold the wmv format, i am sure that they too could hold 25 hours of video, but they don't and Zunes do. So there.

I don't think so. Technically speaking the zune8 has many, many, MANY more features than the nano. The zune has custom made games(XNA game studio), custom wallpaper, FM radio tuner, 25 HOURS OF VIDEO (compared to the 8 hours capable by the nano). The zune also has wifi, whether or not you think that this is useful zune still has it and ipod nano does not. So in the end I think zunes are better.
What's so bad about the Zune other than is has FM and AM, WiFi syncing, downing off of other's zunes, bigger text, better customizing, zoom-in for pics, better looking and holds more types of files.

It isn't better. It looks like crap, has less battery life (this has already been proven), the Wi-Fi and radio are useless since most people don't use them. I would rather have a Classic which has games and some other extra features. Microsoft is so lazy that they couldn't even put a clock on the Zune. I find the click wheel to be more easy to use. On the Zune you have buttons that do the same function as others which is stupid. And the Zunepad is just a cheap rip-off.

Well, I've heard the word 'zune' about 3 to 5 times in my life so far. iPod? several hundred times. also, the Apple earbuds suck so bad. Old bulky ones don't work, and my "newly-designed" ones got staticky and lost about 60% of its original sound. I haven't dropped them or have gotten them wet or anything. I hope Zune isn't as disappointing
My iPod nano Second Gen got so many dents and scratches on its "scratch-resistant" aluminum. Its battery kept going up and down when I played a game on it, and a black line formed in the middle of the screen when I haven't dropped it on anything but carpet! I need to try a Zune, I'm getting sick of Apple...

ok this zune does have a smaller screen but look at the other zunes they hav huge screens and everyone is comparing them to the touch which is rong they're to be compared to the Classic and shit so don't compare it to the touch because everyone does, the zune has more features and has better video and sound , radio, social, and it has an amazing navigation much better than the scroll wheel, the zunes are just better if u look at the stats

It isn't better. It looks like crap, has less battery life (this has already been proven), the Wi-Fi and radio are useless since most people don't use them. I would rather have a Classic which has games and some other extra features. Microsoft is so lazy that they couldn't even put a clock on the Zune. I find the click wheel to be more easy to use. On the Zune you have buttons that do the same function as others which is stupid. And the Zunepad is just a cheap rip-off.

dude using the radio only takes like what, 1 or 2 hours away? same goes with the radio...besides not many people use the Zune so I always turn off the wifi..and just so u know..the radio player is an awesome feature...u know that the ipod also has features that are ridiculous for me...itouch is one good example..the features..are dumb...who buys music from itunes anyway, use limewire...the battery life isnt great on it either, the zune has a good battery life it compares alot to the ipod man

The reason I say that The zune is much better than the ipod only for 2, well lets make it three reasons huh? #1: it has wi-fi, ipod doesnt #2: it has built in radio, ipod does too but u need to buy something in order for it to work i dont know what it really is or I may be wrong...and lastly #3: sharing ur music with other people. Which apple, well i may be wrong but they never thought it up.These are my 3 reasons, I could add a 4th whic would be the touch pad, but meh lol...so yeah

The Zune is actually fucking awesome...and one thing is true its still fresh so not many people know it...but for my oppinion, that with the new Zune 2...wow it just made better improvements from the 30 gig model and compares alot to the ipod in fact...its possibly better than the ipod...the thing is the ipod still has an advantage cause, well....its ipod, its from apple...its very pouplar product...its one of the first so to say...so thats one of the reasons why their sales are off the roof

iPod will always rule over zune. Of course, this is only personal preference, but how much have I heard the word 'zune' being said compared to iPod? Well, I've heard the word 'zune' about 3 to 5 times in my life so far. iPod? several hundred times. We don't know what's to come from Microsoft in the future, but we do know that at the moment, iPod is further ahead in the race.

The Zune has a dark display in this video because he set the backlight on low, probably to save battery.
I think the huge space between the tiny screen and the click wheel on the Nano is unnecessary.

also, the Apple earbuds suck so bad. Old bulky ones don't work, and my "newly-designed" ones got staticky and lost about 60% of its original sound. I haven't dropped them or have gotten them wet or anything. I hope Zune isn't as disappointing

My iPod nano Second Gen got so many dents and scratches on its "scratch-resistant" aluminum. Its battery kept going up and down when I played a game on it, and a black line formed in the middle of the screen when I haven't dropped it on anything but carpet! I need to try a Zune, I'm getting sick of Apple...
