  • The electronic drums you see are build by them self. That tells me they know about how electronics work^^

  • These guys are true poineers.

Thanks to them we get to enjoy the new gods of techno like Aphex twin, squarepusher and Music.

And btw, this is as techno as it can get radioguyuk.

  • I remember listening to the original recording of this in July 1975 in England, and it made me dizzy. It actually scared me! How funny is that? Of course, I was only 10 then, so I'd llove to hear it again and see what my reaction is. I love this group!

  • 2:16 PEDOFACE!!!

  • @townheadfury Really (jw)? There isn't one.

  • @townheadfury there is NO speedlimit on the Autobahn ... at least on most of them :)

  • @MickeyKnox There are, most sections of the Autobahn have a speed limit, atleast most of the bits I've been on.

  • @TheModCon like I said ... parts with and parts without speed limit (construction sites do not count ;) )

  • @townheadfury there is no speed limit. you can drive as fast as you like.

  • they are masters!

  • GodFathers of Electronic music since the 1970s.....

  • 2:20 gives me the creeps lol

  • what are highways against autobahnen...

ah,you gringos tried to ... copy them ... so much ...

ex_2nd_worldwar_specialists have taken control of cocacola publicity a long time ago.

and now: see where it leads to: printing money to fill the budget holes, just like before. you've learned nothing.

while germans are still the greatest repressed speeders in the world ...

even when it's export time.i don't even care liking it or not

  • 136 people are ill

  • drum thing is legit

  • They were way ahead of their time, and had a lot of imagination too. This vid is indeed a classic one.

  • LOL he says kraftweirck otobaan XD dabei heißt es Autobahn und Kraftwerk

  • Ode to the beetle, bocho, fusca...and many many other alias in different countries around the world for the Wolskwagen Beetle. This is the homenage from the fathers of the electronic music!

  • kraftwerk=krazy krauts love 'em!

  • Kraftwerk were so ahead of their time!

  • @HotRodder42 Yeah, for some reason I think Animal Collective, the difference is that AC are more psychedelic and freaking awesome. Kraftwerk sure did lay the ground work for electronic music!

  • what car was used at the beginning?

  • @ultimatenerd22 Ralf's VW Beetle, the other car on the 'new' sleeve is Florians Mercedes

  • Kraftwerk were so far ahead of the music world, primitive as it was, at that time. People can look back at them now and snicker but these were serious musicians who integrated art with technology like no one had ever seen. Impressive and still cool after all these years.

  • magnifici!!!

  • Do we need all the pissing commentary?

  • the destruction of creativity is partially our fault. Back in the 80s, the market could sustain 50+ artists who just want to be creative, and yet make millions. Unfortunately britney spears was their solution, and now he have justin bieber

  • They actually play.... I like how rappers, producers, and whatever use a computer and beats and they are called musicians....give me a break!

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer

    definately xD

  • I miss back when musicians were geniuses.

  • @TKTrav I too!!!! This is EPIC and timeless

  • @TKTrav how can you say that some of the newer bands like Royksopp and Daft Punk aren't geniuses? but yet i agree with you, musical genius is very rare now days

  • @TKTrav They still are, but unrecognized in the myre ....

  • @TKTrav They still exist, you just have to stop being lazy and search for them a little more than you used to.

  • 'Re-created on stage with the minimum of fuss'. I doubt it given this was all analogue!

  • que antigua tecnologia !!!

  • EPIC

  • Saw them playing this live at the Cardiff Capitol, September 1975. Also, 2 years ago in Sydney.

  • IF ROGER FEDERER EVER QUITS TENNIS

  • I want my jacket with "electronic lapels that can be played by touch."

  • @kynoceph that might be interesting if combined with their modern "EXpo 2000" outfits.

  • @skeletonange wtf

  • haha how he say oottoobaannn XD

  • why is Ralf have his mouth so close to the mike? That looks weird.

  • who can't like all their quirky sounds? great sound effects, as always Germans are expressing their great capability of creating music from the computer.

  • "Data's distant relatives".

I always had a feeling they were androids... :D

  • early DEVO

  • if you think about it, kraftwerk is just a bunch of really smart nerds lol. really smart nerds that somehow make good music.

  • @dizzyisme that's right, dizzisme - just like the movie Revenge of the Nerds.

  • @Lonestarry never seen that movie but i'll take your word on it, haha. well these nerds are pretty genius

  • @dizzyisme:

you know nothing about kraftwerk.they are no nerds.they use drugs and lot of woman.just like other "rockstars".

  • douchebags

  • The Germans should be proud of these Guys they are and will always be AWESOME!

  • @POLSTEADPAUL Of course we are proud of them !

  • I can see why these guys influenced Devo so much.

  • Realistically

, germany wants to move away from robotic living, .....

  • kraftwerk are the best !! who would of thought of being a techno bands in the 60's and 70's

  • Aha! Thanks man.

  • Is like in any moment the Doctor is gonna appear with his sonic screwdriver... amazing .

  • True! A lot of those sounds could just as easily have been the TARDIS whizzing around somewhere.

  • How come the keyboard is not as good as the album version?

  • cause its live and there is back noise they use a conditioner to get rid of the feedback and humming noises

  • yeah

  • Is Ralf's second keyboard polyphonic?

  • Steve Wright is such a tool. Say it properly you idiot *rolls eyes*

The four fo them are so beautiful =]

  • @dongtingwong I remember hearing it and thinking "what the fuck is this, where are the guitars ?"

  • @dongtingwong i hope i have an experience like that before im dead

  • love it! 'eliminating keyboards completely and build jackets with electronic lapels that could be played by touch'! definitely Ralf Hutter humour going on there.

  • Personally, one of the five more influential bands in modern music!

  • @afficionado2004

Kraftwerk, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Beatles, The Who.

  • as if you put black sabbath before the beatles!!! :O
