I don't think you should use styrofoam at all with these types of rockets, unless you weight it correctly and make it some what controllable. The styrofoam planes often have a design that allows it to rise and fall easy, as they are not meant for sustained flight. I had considered that option before,but since you can not controll pitch or roll, it is best to work with an RC frame. If you want lighter weight, work from a balsa-wood design.

i have an estes blue angel (its styrofoam)
i drilled a big hole and i but a size E motor im gonna fly it tomorow afternoon
( i hope it doesnt catch on fire)

Sounds great it shouldn't catch on fire if you have the engine out far enough. Take a video of the flight and post so we all can see. Fly'em High.
