I just spent 5 months in Walkers repairing the jackup barge there. Been to Grand a few times,but ran into some ignorant so called Masons there........last time I will be back
Both Hurricane Francis and Jeanne did an excessive amount of damage to the island, and they did not have enough money to repair all of the buildings and such. So I think about 2 years ago they went bankrupt. You can try walking on the island ONCE YOUR CUSTOMS ARE FINISHED, but I got in trouble for it.
Just spent 5 months there in Walkers and had a chance to inspect/photo all the damage. Not much damage was done apart from the docks was done by the hurricanes.......then the place got totaled by the local natives
very nice. I go there a lot and if you ever notice right off the end of Grand Cay, there is a very bright colored blue house. I own part of it. But anyway Walkers is very depressing now. It used to be so beautiful. But Grand Cay is doing well.
