  • Why are there so the death trap? I think elevator is working well and is fast, I like.

Sure, those kinds of shake scared me, too. :D

  • Humm does not looks like an dead trap runs fine for as i can see>

  • Connor would LOVE that elevator !!!! :)

  • Gorgeous atrium. Some glass elevators would have been nice. Well, at least the MAN-POWERED elevators are scenic!!!!

  • These don't use EcoDiscs, do they?

  • @suzzex No, this place was built in the late 80's.

  • @TheElevatorChannel Ah ok. Never been on a KONE with a regular motor so you have that over me! :)

  • Looks like a nice place. It's a shame that Mexico has such a bad reputation with their elevators.

  • @jimster586 Oh, no way. Mexico has a little to do with it I suppose, but there are a lot of good elevators down there. It is common practice down there for the owner to carry out maintenance themselves, and that is the case here. Melia, the company in question, literally has a 0% track record with elevators. This means that every known Melia elevator is a death trap. We were even tipped off to a Melia elevator in Spain that was a total death trap.

  • @SchindlerHaughton Wow, I didn't know that.

  • @jimster586 This is more directed at Melia. Even their elevators in Spain have issues (at least that's what Connor told me)

  • @TheElevatorChannel i was told that in costa rica the elevators were all death traps so who knows which place is worse

  • @jimster586 Mexico? The only place I have heard about people getting hurt or killed in elevators is New York!
