  • this song has a very dark atmosphere. mekong delta is great!

  • 0:40 Fucking good bass!!

  • while I've always respected the amazing talent of these musicians and their music.....the singing ruins the entire band for me on every album I've ever heard by them.

  • great! its uli kusch on drums?

  • nothing is true and nothing false

while one can build or destroy

worlds in less than seven days

nothing is gained and nothing is lost

it's all a game that has no rules

played by men and won by fools

  • There new album blew me the fuck away! I haven't been that surprised concerning a thrash album since Heathen's an Evolution of Chaos

  • How he creates this amazing basssound?

He uses an Steinberger XM2TA and a Bassbox for the effects i think..

    is this equipment still available?

    how he sets his effects?

  • WOW. Now this is thrash metal. Sounds like a combination of combination of Watchtower and Testament.

  • HEY ! Do any of you know what song Mekong has that is the Psycho movie Score Remix ? I think it is this band you see, not sure ..

  • @FromDimmuLand Interludium (Begging For Mercy) from the album The Music Of Erich Zann

  • this is quite cool, got their first two album as a present from a friend and looking at the cover pictures i expected some crappy "not good but cult"- band. butthis rocks indeed. btw, strange bass guitar ^^

  • @WizardofFuzz: It's a Steinberger Bass (the XM2TA, if I'm not mistaken)

  • yes this is great and yes it sounds like chris cquire from yes on bass.excellent

  • a bit like "Heart Of The Sunrise"

  • true, but still awesome

  • Im not a fan of DT but you can see that DT werent the first ones to do what they did

  • Always loved this band.Ever since i heard the principle of doubt

  • This reminds me a lot of Heart of the Sunrise by Yes.

  • I totally agree with that

  • tecnicissimi.

  • Hey, I can listen to some fusion influences & chord progressions here hehe, technical thrash & death for life !

  • the first album is a prog thrash gem, from the first track to the last it POUNDS!!!!

another prog thrash hidden gem: "Insane Asylum" by Blind Illusion.

  • Mekong Delta rules!!

Love that mindfucking drum fills and riffs....TECH THRASH IS THE BEST!!

  • hahaha u think cannibal is not death metal...ur a fucking idiot dont watch videos just to hate u piece of shit

  • Technically insane!!!!!!!! this band KICKS TOO MUCH ASS!!!!!!

  • The bassist is just Insane and so is the song!

  • ROCK ON

  • their technique is unbelievable.....

  • Fantastic. This is the best song out of "Kaleidoskope".

  • This is weird as hell LOL But like...in a good way LOL

Thats bassist is so good!!! Shredding the fuck!

  • only the bass is headless.

  • One of my most favorite Thrash bands EVER!!!!!

  • technical metal bands by the way

  • Damn, one of the most underrated bands ever in the U.S. Blows most of the American Thrash scene right off the map. Euros are often given credit for the best Black, Power, and Heavy Metal bands ever, but are rarely given credit for Thrash. Well, these guys are as good as their American counterparts IMHO.

  • THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

  • Yep. Great song to take a cue from too.

    Both bands are fantastic.

  • stop the bickering, I am over joyed that MD is back together. Intense music, lots of skill, happy times, good feelings, what more can you ask for?

  • Wow... Not at all... This is PROGRESSIVE THRASH, and is in no way reminiscent of Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath...

Honestly though, great fuckin' song. Love the singer's attitude during 3:39, where he smacks with his hand, and jolts his head forward. Gives the song some strong thrash undertones.

  • Isn't this with Baltrusch?

If it's not can someone tell me who plays on this.

  • Yep, this is with Uwe Baltrusch. The others are Ralf Hubert (Bass), Doug Lee (Vocals) and Peter Haas (Drums)

  • Mekong Delta's original guitar players, Frank Fricks, and Reiner Kelch, are clearly better musicians than Uwe Baltrusch, and the recent newcomer, Peter Lake.

  • Peter Lake is far more talented that Reiner or Frank, but that's a matter of opinion. Everyone is entitled to prefer one over the other.

  • Well opinions vary. But Frank Fricke and Reiner Kelch are clearly the more talented guitar players in MD's lineup. They are both self-taught, and brought quite an amazing distinction to the overall Mekong Delta sound, if not the musical concept. Guitar solos are where the two really thrived, and outclassed most of the better musicians of the thrash/speed/progressive genre. Peter Lake has spent years emulating, and adapting to the style of Mekong Delta but he is not the one who put MD on the map.

  • Peter Lake spent years listening to musicians like Yngwie Malmsteen. He's not emulating or adapting to the style of Mekong Delta. He plays (with certain freedom) what Ralf has composed. The only thing you can accuse him of, is trying to let his guitar sound like the the original Mekong Delta.

  • He is far beyond them, playing in a band such as Theory in Practice proves well enough.

  • You forget that MD is NOT about the musicians, but about the music... Ofcourse it is true that there wouldn't be a band without the musicians, but any other TECHNICAL TALENTED guitar player can learn to play songs by MD ofcourse... It is not important who did what and when.

  • That's pretty good.

    Also:this song is the amazing.

  • BRING BACK MEKONG DELTA!!!

  • They are back, they are working on a new album if I recall.

  • They are back and the new album is already out since august 30th 2007!

  • fukin good stuff......

really starting to get into these guys.

  • great!
