They used to have a longer version of this commercial, too. I remember back in the mid-1990's, Maine's NBC affiliates did a story about the cats in the commercial. By then the cats were around 10 years old or so and weren't so energetic!

Our family always loved this commercial. It also reminded me of the Sesame Street spot where the kittens invade the doll house.

I love this commercial. It was a must see for me when it used to air on local TV...I'd always stop what I was doing to watch it. It still brings a nostalgic smile to my face. I read an article a long time ago about how long it took the camera man to get this 30 seconds of video. I believe it took him all day. The kittens slept for hours and he didn't think he was going to be able to get the footage. I'm glad the video is on YouTube now so I can still watch it.
