For some reason, he reminds me of Tony Soprano. I keep imagining him, playing so elegant, looking up saying "So... Tony... *diddly diddly*... you do that thing I told ya to do? *strum diddly diddly*"
2 seconds in i could tell scott didn't really give a crap about this performance. like he was playing cus he had too. and still, sounds 10x better than me...
Took a master-class under this guy! heard him in concert as well as with the LAGQ (Los Angeles Guitar Quartet)... i've you've never heard of them you should check out their music! UNBELIEVABLE!
When and where was this video taken. I purchased a Dake Traphagen last December and it looks amazingly similar to this one that Scot is playing. The one I have is the guitar with the 150 year old Brazilian rosewood that was reclaimed from a beam in rio de janeiro. Just wondering, let me know if you have in ideas.
This was shot over 10 years ago - perhaps 1995. The guitar Scott is playing used to belong to Pepe Romero and Dake had cleaned it up after Pepe toured with it. It was for sale by Dake at the show.
a fabulous teacher and fabulous player. seriously under rated. Scott is another guitar master and ispiration to us all.

love this suite, torroba, what a legend ! I'd say Segovia's performance is the best and this comes very very near to it. 5**

Segovia would be proud!

Great interpretation.
(That was very considerate of Scott to do the rasgueados strums over the soundhole ...not to mar the finish on Dake's guitar.)
