Samus' armor can handle more damage, but the Chiefs armor regenerates quickly. Chief has more battlefield stratagy, sAMUS, if she ran out of power, shes a sitting duck.
the issue with that, is that the for her to lose her energy is like Bringing Master chief down to to zero shielding, close to death, at least 21+ times.
not only that, to regen her energy, she just needs to find something with energy and drain it with the Volt grapple, eradcate a Living creature for energy (the same kind of energy Metroids eat off living creatures, a little sadistic but considering her circum stances most of the time) the Crystal Flash and her gunship. all restore her shield
In the books, Masterchief can run (in mjonlir) up to 75 mph (I think), and can do something like Matrix time, so can dodge bullets. He's extremely fast, and strong enough to toss around a warthog with relative ease.
Also, he is tactically brilliant, he wouldn't go into a fight unless he had some pretty good ways of winning.
I know little of Samus, could someone with good knowledge on both of them help out please?

IN haloid, Samus fight a spartan who is not just absurdly over powered, but it isn't even John. It's Nicole from DOA. and even at that, Samus suit isn't that fragile, and she doesn't get even half her weapons in that video.
Samus was raised and trained by the Chozo starting from age 3 on a planet where humans cannot survive after the space pirates obliterated her home colony, got the power suit around her teens. and by her young adult years she took militarry training, climbed to the top and dropped out and became a bounty hunter. Samus is a VERY skilled character, otherwise she would have survive her 7-8 games.
at x4 overshield, that would equal just around under 4 energy tanks worth of Samus shields.
I have not read the books. I know that Master cheif petty officer Spartan II 117 (John) has recienced geneticit enhancements, as well has been trained since age 6 to become a super soldier. but he's weapons and tools are much more limited compared to samus
Master Chief would win, Master Chief is more skilled, Samus uses her Big gun on her arm, speed boost and those bombs that she lays, turns into a ball and rolls like 200 miles Per hour, Master Chief should at least get over shield, grenades, and any gun he wants. Did u watch the Haloid, read the books? do u know how fast Master Chief is? How skilled he is? How smart he is? I doubt it. Master Chief is kick ass.
