I came across this video while looking into Pathfinder. I've played a few sessions of 4e which went down well but after hearing about Pathfinder I decided I'm going to give this a try.
Paizo are releasing a 'Beginners Box' in Oct 2011 which I'm going to pick up as it looks like to be a good jumping in point for both myself and my players.
@iBrinkoo I never told you what to do or think, I was giving my own opinion, perhaps you might want to chill out and realise that Reviews are subjective. I will see faults where you dont and vice versa. I might like something you hate and vice versa... hopefully your seeing a pattern forming.
not true about its hard to learn pathfinder was the first RPG i played but i was playing with experienced players, and after 2 or 3 sessions and reading the about half of the core rulebook i was fine.
I don't like that favored class rule you mentioned. I think that limits the customization of the characters. I'd rather having characters that are unique, instead of a generic 10th level fighter, that would be ballz.
Some of the classes were weaker, the Beguiler was terrible, the Dragon Shaman wasn't that strong. I personally think Scout is just a weaker rogue. Hexblades aren't overpowered, the lack of armor really keeps them from being too strong.
I would say Duskblade, Swashbuckler, & Warlock are all pretty strong.
Cool vid. Funny that, I just got into RPGs, decided to buy Pathfinder, now don't know where to start. Maybe u could do a tutorial vid to help get us new 1s started out???
Thanks for the review mate. I love the new Pathfinder as well and have to agree with you on most of your points. The only area where I was disappointed was that I was hoping for something really new in the prestige classes. FYI, you should put better tags on these Pathfinder reviews so people will find them--if I wasn't a subscriber I would never have found them.
Also I just started playing Pathfinder, and I have to say I'm more than impressed. I'm currently playing 4e, but I can't wait to play Pathfinder.

4 stars just because of the size? I'm just gonna pretend I heard you say 5...

Very good review. I enjoy this game very much.
I am so glad this game came out because I have no interest in 4th edition D&D. I have played 4th and do not like it, I gave it an honest try.
Also when I first bought Pathfinder, it brought back memories of the old D&D Rules Cyclopedia for Basic, Expert, etc. All the rules in one book.
I would give it 5 stars. very fun stuff.

I get the feeling that you were sleepy when you typed the description. Since I'm a spelling and grammar Nazi today, here's a list:
-"i" should be "I".
-"man upped" should be "manned up".
-"play" should be "playing".
-"alot" should be "a lot".
I will forgive that the sentence ends with "of", even though I shouldn't. :P

Any chance of an in depth Fantasy Craft review? I've heard on podcasts that people like it even better than Pathfinder. What's your view?
