It's a shame to discredit this plane with stupidity...I have the exact model with a .60 engine. I took some of the dihedral out of it and bolted the wings. Very fast, hard flips, loops, twists and anything else I could do....yet it is still flying (very good airplane). You need more rubber bands and learn how to fly in the wind!
2 Things to say here, first of all, trainers are not designed for such loaded flying maneuvers like you were trying. I have seen a few perfectly setup planes, like cubs and tigers, snap mid flight because the pilot thought he grew some balls. Buy a 3d airframe if you want to fly like that. But that leads to my 2nd point, it looks like you should be flying this TRAINER like a trainer, learning airplane control. Master the basics before getting tricky.
Are you saying that you had no control over the plane at the time of the crash, that you had insufficient qty of rubber bands to support the wing, or that YOU wrecked it as compared to it self-destructing? I couldn't tell if the wing departed the aircraft, but 2 rubber bands per pound of airplane is a good rule of thumb.
My sh*ts and giggles 50 bucks, 40 class goes through more than this each flight - then again, my wings are screwed down and I had an instructor show me how to do things before putting people at risk!! Ye Gods, when using bands I had at least four each side on that size airframe just to pull loops - total pilot and setup error. The death of a good plane for nothing!
You should have got some simulator training time first before you just take it off like that. And what were you thinking , when you take it off from a little runway like that? How do you expect to land it on that little path? I guess you just can`t fix stupid?
Bad camera work, Bad quality, TERRIBLE music... the only 1 point im giving this is that hopefully now since your plane is dead you wont make any more vids like this... 1/10
Is it just me or does everyone fly in the damn boonies in these videos??? No damn wonder most crash, because you can't tell orientation. Get over your grounditis and put the damn thing where you can see it......oh and put some friggin rubberbands on the wing, moron.
Yea i seen he did not have a lot of rubber bands on the wing. I am sure that is what happen it just broke away from the fuse. Glade no one was hurt Nitro planes can kill ya. And are not anything to be playing around with.
1st you pulled up to hard 2nd i bet you have insurance and 3rd your the kind of person who gets rc model flying banned because of being silly and you shouldnt be abe to buy the potencially lethal weapons your just being plain right stupid
Aprox Flight time on Nitro 40 is 10- 12 mins, electric is almost the same, difference is... soona s you land a nitro, you can refuel and fly straight away. Electric you either need few lipo's or wait!
Your a fucking tool, reading your comments on your page i think your a 21 year old virgin that has nothing better to do but flame people on youtube. Go dream about the nissan 350z that you will never have, you probably drive a fucking ricer civic.
Look, used rubber bands on plenty of planes. The bands have NOTHING to do with it. You need at LEAST 4 on each peg to peg then one crossing each way to hold them on. Any less then 10 rubber bands and your stupid. Just because you can pick the plane up with only 2-4 rubber bands doesnt mean its strong enough to fly. People dont understand the force exerted on a plane in the air.
yea, but you can fly them anywhere! and it's so much easier and cheaper to swap out parts and change flight characteristics on the fly - pun intended :P
i never used bands on my planes and trainers. i always modified the wing to accept nylon bolts at the tailing edge and a peg in the front to keep it in place.
Ok theres the wing LOL been there and done that it sux dont it. You seemed to have a basic grip on flying as you kept it up there for a while so why the lack of elastic bands are you new to models? or just stuff up
Well I fly r/c Heli's so had a basic knowledge with the plane but had no idea about the bands! I have now invested and had plenty of sucessfull flights with a tiger 40. Will posts some vid's soon.
u need eight two on each side running down the wing, (2 on left side dowels, 2 on right side dowels) then four cris crossing from left to right and vice versa (2 going top right dowel to bottom left dowel, and 2 going top left dowel to bottom right dowel) this is all if u would stand the plane on its tail
Hey, you need *AT LEAST* six to eight rubber bands per side. It looks like you only had a couple and the wing was lifting -- causing it to loop or climb uncontrollably when even the smallest amount of elevator was used. I've seen this happen with quite a few high-wing trainers.

The wing blew off cause there was only 2 rubber bands holding it on.
A model like that would need at least 8 rubber bands.

Comparing , lets say a 40 gas trainer and a 400-450 electric trainer??
