Apparently, in real-life military forces, voluntarily shooting a fellow soldier is, aside from treason, the ABSOLUTE worst crime you can commit. It's just something you absolutely DO NOT DO, no matter what.

Of course, the circumstances here are a little extraordinary, but...that doesn't change the fact that Faldio willingly shot his comrade-in-arms - even if it was to save Gallia's war effort, it betrays everyone else's trust.

Frankly I'm surprised he isn't being imprisoned for life.
