  • u should look at kill and confirm matchhes

  • MW3 has the most BS lag eve rin cod history, why couldn't we host our own lobby on consolers like black ops? you'd just lagswitch until you'd opened your lobby and wait for people to join your lobby and then you stop the lagswitching when the game starts..

  • connection speeds are dynamic and people enter and leave lobbies with every game. people ten to blame ALL connection issues on lag compensation. it's the flavor of the month for cry babies. reality is that it's rarely lag compensation for everyone I'm the room cause as you just said it can only happen to one person at a time. it Is better to have a strong connection through all your games while not hosting, than it is to destroy your connection and cause other lag issues all the

  • They don't have one for clear.

  • I did all of this, but I do not have the qos option on my router settings, but my connection speed on my ps3 continues to be the same, any idea what could be wrong?

  • @kinkbikeco32 .... not all routers will have a QOS option. That should not affect the outcome of making all the other changes. I would go over the video and make sure everything is correct, also, the changes may not be seen as much in a standard speed test of your system as on he ping you are connecting to in games and the bars showing as you play

  • when i was doin the port forwarding the third one"Name3" didnt proceed with me for some reason .. it says "Port conflict with other service. " i dont know whats that tho .. help me please

  • This will help with normal network lag. It will NOT help with lag compensation in MW3. Lag compensation handicaps the best, fastest (less that 10 msecs ping) connections, so if you have one of these connections and you are kicked by lag comp this will make it worse.

  • @juanjux I run a 6-10 milisecond ping on a broadband 100 network connection. I have no issues at all so i'm not sure why you are saying that. but okay then

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo I'll try to explain. Your tutorial is awesome to get the best possible connection with any multiplayer game. The problem with MW3 is that the lag compensation handicaps the BEST connections, so this would only make the problem worse and even make you get host more frecuently (which is still worse). In fact, people have been getting better matches while torrenting or downloading big files. Check this video and the following two: watch?v=7btS0gTVtmM

  • Hey dude i got an sitecom router but how i am supposed to know which one is mine can i find it somewhere on my router?

  • @TheMrjamba123 not sure what youre asking here bro

  • My NAT type became moderate after I did this. How to I get it back to open?

  • on the x box it saids gate way address so would that be the same as the default router?

  • @lloyed1995 yes I believe so,

  • Nice intro man

  • @Feardragon115 ... do everything the same but don't do the QOS .. if you don't have multiple people on your network at once it won't matter

  • my xbox is wired and my laptop is wireless....what do i do?

  • Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question, when I go into the cmd, i don't have an ipv4 address, it says ipv6.. Is this the same thing?

  • @seaNOmercy keep looking it is there

  • Kick ass man. I'm subbing

  • Workes perfect on uverse 2wire, thanks bro

  • @enfekted13 :) glad it helped broski!

  • great video bro but please make a pc tutorial

  • @Gameplayox .. don't play on PC.. wouldn't be able to :(

  • @TeamRemixHD ... look below my side information.. it's a link that says ports for Xbox

  • I cant find the ports for xbox360 - mw3? i looked on your channel

  • the intro is horrible lol

  • @Zlurz hmmm lets see... a shell channel with no background, no subscribers or video views dissing my intro.. lol.. someone I know, but will never know who it really is... cough cough trolololololo..... lol ... get a life dude

  • @Zlurz ... trolololo

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo im not trolling beautiful, im saying the one where the girl talks is horrible, the first one is fine/sick, keep that one but remove the second one where she tells everyone to follow you on twitter, just my opinion dont get all pissy about it (:

  • it say internet connection failed

  • omg it's the codfather D:!

  • i cant connect server wen i port foward -_____________- tell eme why

  • @iTzxKaZzYxKinGx ... what kind of router are you using?

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo USING thomson router tg582 there many thomson routers my tg582

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo hey, i clicked tha annotation but coulnt find it

  • wow i got exited when my connection went from 900 kbps to 2.9 mbps. lol

  • @ItsBasscore nice bro opened that connection right up :)

  • from what ive heard lag compenstation affects the host the most. what i know about port fowarding is that it makes your connection much more reliable and that you increase your chance of being a host. in mw3s case you dont want to be the host (at least i think so). if anthing you slightly want to decrease your qualilty so you dont get affected. people with bad quality cinnections get kills with less bullets thean those with good quality who need to use more bullets. check your killcams.

  • @SKABZ7 ... great question, and i'm not sure? I don't know enough about it. sorry bro

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo innacurate

  • @nkchri2 .. there is so much that is immaculate with what you said here. they would never force lag on a player, that's just counter productive. they simply lower the quality of one connection to match the level of others. bringing them closer together should an does improve most games. but no one complains because the game seems fine. you only ever hear about the time where it messed up, which can also happen cause the connections are so different to begin with

  • @UnitingForce ... glad I could help brother!

  • bro, this made all the difference in the world! thanks :P

  • THANK U THANK U THANK U I COPIED EVERYTHING FROM THE DESCRIPTION THAN IN VIDEO BUT I DDNT PUT 443 AND IT WORK LIKE A CHARM!!! DDNTEVN NEED TO RESTART ROUTER!! NVR GT DISCONNECTED

  • Hey, I send you a message to your inbox of your account for some help.

    Thanks a lot man!!

  • People are confusing lag and "lag compensation". Lag compensation is something that was implemented in modern warfare which FORCES lag on players with good connections. They do this to put them on level playing fields with people on bad connections. The only problem is they over compensated so people with bad connections have an advantage.

So you DON'T want to be host in MW.

For games with dedicated servers however, this is a great video showing how to reduce lag.

  • hi

  • @noonHolla trolololol oooooo :) take care

  • you talk to much!!

  • I want to thank you1 I have tried so many things to get a better connection and nothing worked until this!

  • @jasondmaguire no problem at all Jason! Glad it helped out my friend. Take Care

  • think you can show an example on the xbox?

  • How do I know my DNS..?

  • @SuperDanny93 .. sorry my last comment was the subnet mask. I appologize if I confused you.... go to your start menu. open it and in the search type in cmd then in the command prompt (black screen) type in ipconfig/all look through all the information. you should see something called DNS or DNS servers . some people have one number listed, or two or three. all you need is one to place into your ps3 dns section. If you have more you can use them as well

  • whenever i port foward then i get on mw3 i and it says 'connecting to online server'' for like 5 mintues and says the server may be unvaible whatever but when i remove the port i can play why?

  • @iTzxKaZzYxKinGx it sounds like your ports are being used by other things simultaneously, if I had to guess. You might want to do the DMZ option if that's what you decide would be best for your network

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo i already set a static ip for my ps3 dmz

  • @iTzxKaZzYxKinGx ... so try disabling the port forwarding and enabling only the DMZ

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo yo listen and thanks for replying all the time but yo i had dmz always without port fowarding and then wen i tried port fowarding i cant connect online server so i have to remove the port away -_-

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo my DMZ already enbaled and always been enabled wen i port fowading and it has to be on coz u must have static ip in order to port forward

  • @YungExcIusive trololololo

  • You sound just like that creepy geek dude from Grandmas boy lol

  • @YungExcIusive lmao dude he does thats hilarious

  • Where do you find the information regarding portforwarding for Xbox? I can't find it on your channel anywhere, and the link just brings me to another video, thanks.

  • @TheStewwii ... it's right in front of your nose. lol... look on the links to the right side of the page near the top. You will see xbox 360 ports for mw3.. it will take you to a mediafire download that is a text document with the ports

  • Wait which part is for XBOX and which is PS3?

  • @dropped05redsrt4 ... I live in Canada where the population is not very dens.. so there's less people around me, and I get a better bandwidth. my ISP has some of the brest speeds available. But none of that matters if when the connection reaches your router it can't properly be told how to split up to your devices. that's what this tutorial is about. whether you have a bad medium or maxing speed delivered to you, telling it where to hi will improve what you're used to

  • How is your connection speed download 9-11megabits?? I'm getting 2.1 and 634kbs upload.

  • @SiRxSwaG ... your numbers may be different but the idea should work okay.. remember that if you don't have a strong connection from yur ISP, then it will be doifficult to secure one vim the game

  • Crap. I needed that Ethernet cable..

  • would this work for a New Zealand connection?

  • @SiRxSwaG I doubt that even if this works for NZ connections, Australia's shitty internet will ruin our games. Theres always one aussie in the game running around eating bullets and pulling off 3.0 k/ds. It's annoying how fucking bad their connection is so lag compensation will bullshit us.

  • @nicegamertagbro lol :)

  • i have the same background!

  • @ldaye78 do you mean on the ps3 or your command prompt on computer

  • I tried this but when testing my connection, I couldn't obtain an IP address. When I originally went to enter values for IP address all numbers were zeros with the exception of the subnet mask.

  • you sound like that robot guy from grandma's boy lol

  • Guys does this really work plz reply

  • @TheQSgang .. lol.. just look at the favorites and likes.. I would say that's a pretty good judge of peoples overall experience trying this. Also read through the comments. People complaining that it doesn't work usually have some sort of issue with their individual network, not what is shown here. And there are very few people complaining. Don't pay attention to Streerod1929, he's my buddy we're just bugging each other :)

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo ok ill try it but do i have to use portforward(dot)com or can i just copy the port numbers and put them in port range forwarding?

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo and i wanted to say another question why do i have the disadvantage and the other people that i play with don't that whats bugging me when the other people shoot me i die instantly but when i shoot them it take a bit longer btw great video

  • Do i have to use portforward(dot)com because my router isn't in their

  • That portforwarding site is a great find. To add to the video, I have been reading a lot about disabling the recording capabilities. The match video recording. I have not tried it yet, but I hear it helps out a little bit.

  • @cyputts nice tip bro.. thanks for sharing

  • ima assume u mean megabits not megabites / sec otherwise no that is not average at all..

  • @indieRPF ...lol.. as I said I don't really speak nerd.. lol.. I'm not a networking expert. These are just things I figured out for myself and might be knowledgeable on in different aspects... regardless, you obviously know what I meant as no internet company in the world currently offers the latter option. Take Care

  • @DownSouthRambo you hit the nail right on the head.. it does not work for everybody. te reason is because there are too many different thing running from person to person on each network.. many people have connection issues that ISP's cause as well on their own greedy agendas. regardless there are many routers that require port forwarding cause they run a virtual DMZ.. this is 90% of commercial routers . sorry this did not work for you but it has helped lot of people out

  • This doesnt work, game is unplayable, and Im not closed minded. If you DMZ your 360, it overrides your port-forwarding, so port forwarding is useless if you DMZ, since a DMZ host will allow ALL ports, both UDP and TCP. I've had an open NAT since playing MW1 and didnt have problems until they introduced lag comp in Black Ops. My KD has gotten worse in every game since COD4. I didnt get worse, the coding did. I had done all of this before watching this video and it does not work FOR EVERYBODY

  • @DownSouthRambo lol rambo wat a coinsadence were having the same problem xP i cant believe we looked up the same video lol

  • @DailyNoobPwner ... lol yes it's much better to call me a dick in a private message than in the comments lol.. relax man , I understand how aggravating connection issues can be but this compensation occurs to the host, and no one hosts every game. the fact that you say the game is unplayable shows that you are closed minded.. believe what you want but this helps. take care

  • @DailyNoobPwner Do you really think people would give 118 thumbs up if it wasn't helping. there's your proof. I do understand what lag compensation is, and this process alleviates a lot of it. The issue here is that any time there is a connection issue it is blamed on lag compensation. It's the flavor of the year for cry babies. There are many types of connection issues yet people cry about this constantly when most of the time it's another type of problem. Many people have been helped by this

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo I wouldnt complain about something for no reason. I seriously cant play anymore because of lag compensation. You wouldnt understand it unless you were experiencing it first hand. But if you dont believe me I dont give a fuck. I just wish youd play on my connection for just ONE day and see how it feels. Read your inbox message. I dont like arguing in public. Its childish

  • @kern417 ... yes! you definitely need to change the factory password. if you don't, anyone that knows your router brand can log into your account by googling it. when you make a obtainable password use a combination Iof letters and numbers.

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo it says i have the DNS servers wrong but ive rechecked multiple times and i know there right

  • why do you have to have a password for the connection settings page? even if you have a password for the router already?

  • @kern417 .. i'm really not sure what you're asking here. sorry man

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo sorry let me rephrase...to connect to my router you have to put in a password. the one i have isn't the same as it was out of the box. when i went to log into my router settings by putting the ip address in the browser i thought that was the same password, but after several attempts i realized it was a different one, in my case blank. so do u think i need to change it to an actual password? is it dangerous just leaving it how it is?

  • you sound a little like dane cook. nice vid.

  • @mikesmalls7 lol.. thanks man

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo u need to repost the xbox thing because i checked ur channel info and it wasnt in there

  • @kiaderz no that is your default gateway.. most of the time DNS server is something like 250.250.250 take another look bro

  • When I run cmd my DNS server shows up as 192.168.1.1, that cannot possibly be the one I should use when setting it up on my system correct? I have an Xbox. Excellent video!

  • im the 115th liker whooo

  • A BIG thanks for doing this man. YOU SHOULD GET PAID for this. Thanks for sharing the passion to us lesser beings who just want to own those 'lucky' 10 year olds who currently own us due to their shittier walmart connections.

Would promote this and have already liked this video. I am not afraid to keep this as a secret as this is quite fucking complex for an average person like myself.

I wonder why this got so few views. The other DUMB video got 160k views for just turn off theatre mode. WTF

  • I want to make millions of accounts and like an favourite this video, thanks alot man!

  • @xTPMGamer .... lol... i''m so glad it helps out . I remember going on youtube looking for this fix before I made it and finding nothing with all of these steps in a row. I had to watch bits and pieces and couldn't find my router. I set out to make this work for as many people as possible, and i'm so glad it has helped so many! thnx so much for the great feedback :)

  • do your frames per second drop dramatically when ur host in mw3 on the ps3? If so does this help fix that as well? and awesome vid dude =)

  • @w00gedyb00gedy .. i have not noticed that happening. Keep in mind that no one will ever have a 100% effective connection, but I know this. Assuming these changes work (outside of any issue you may have on your own network) you won't ever know how you played before doing them. :) I have 4 green bars and host most games I play. I know cause if I rage quit I watch the loading screen ... lol

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo I just finished playin 3 games after fowarding the ports and it makes a world of difference, i can actually play groundwars now =). Thx again for this vid, this is hands down the most useful vid i've seen so far about mw3.

  • Is it normal that your nat type is still Moderate?

  • is this the same for pc

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo im having some trouble with this. For some reason when I go set a static IP on my xbox, it changes my NAT type to Strict. I have no idea why this is happening, do you know why this is?

  • @ARMYOF5000000 .. one of my friends experienced this problem yesterday. Through the process of elimination we chalked it up to the fact that there are a variety of things going on in his house at the same time. Do you have others on the network connecting wirelessly? you might want to run a wired connection to your xbox and see if that makes a difference.

  • Also what if my ip doesn't begin with 192

  • It say the ip i selected conflicts with another device on the network at the time my online device connected to my xbox is my computer

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, my DNS are just a bunch of the letter "F" and zeros. Can anyone help?

  • this helped me out so much. i was honestly considering not playing cause my lag was so fucking bad, but this solved all my problems! just a note though, if your on xbox and you get the message that there is a conflicting ip, just shut down the xbox and restart it to give priority

  • swear to god i played with you yesterday. solid search player

  • Can DMZ only increase host chances? I don't want it to reduce.

  • @VhynHD what DMZ stands for is "Demilitarized zone" in other words, ports that are closed are guarded (as if there's a military around it not letting things in) If you DMZ your console, your are taking that away, all ports are open, so no matter what connections your ps3 is trying to make, they are allowed and rushed along as fast as your network will allow it. So yes it can only increase your host chances. Lag compensation does not cancel anything out, only evens out connections in the room.

  • Which internet provider are you with?

  • @222mikestar shaw communications inc.

  • nice info bet this helps a lot of ppl

  • @blackmarble18 .. thanks bro!

  • since im a caveman to portforwardign just payed a guy £20 to fix it for me

  • @fartmage11 .. lol that's one way to get er done! take care man

  • When i do ipconfig/all I don't even see my DNS :/

  • @sp0ng3bobz .. ive never heard of that before bro.. sorry to say that, but Im not sure what to do for that. As I said in the video. I'm not a networking expert. Hope it works out for you. Take care

  • how i be sure the ports works ?

    pls reply

  • @hydrowk12 hello hydrowk12... the best way to test is to go into a good long gaming session. You will never get 100% of games at 100% connection. Nobody does. But what you can expect is a drastic improvement in game quality and connections if you were having problems before. I go about 8 out of 10 games af full 4 green bars, with one maybe lagging a little, and a game on 3 bars. That seems to be my average. you can also download port checker tools, but those seem to be hit or miss might not work

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo all my games are 3 bar and everyone else has 4. This is getting fucking unfair for me..

  • Quick question, Xbox's ports and MW3's ports are identical... Can I just do Xbox 360 Live's ports from PortForwardDotCom? Or should I copy your port numbers from this exact video?

  • @Tadams91 ... the game ports will be the same, but the system ports are different, go on my channel, in the information you will find a full list of ports you need to use for xbox. Hope that helps. Take care

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo i cannot find the information about system ports in your channel under information

  • @Spey4eva .. it's one of the links that you can click on the right hand side named "xbox 360 ports for modern warfare 3" It's directly below the channel information

  • Wow thanks a lot man! You helped me alot because we're using the same router O.o

  • @sp0ng3bobz .. no worries bro! glad to help :)

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo btw sent you a pm, can you read it? started having problems apparently lol.

  • and my download is 1.5 milibytes per second donwload which equals about 150kbps download, will this help at all?

  • this wont help with 80kb/s internet max download speed......

  • @Lasekfraek ... the issue there is your internet service being provided. It is really really slow :( you need to get faster connections from you isp

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo What if we dont have a Primary or Secondary or any DNS?

  • @xXFallen1212Xx ... as far as I know you must have a dns of some kind. Maybe your set up is different. did you type in ipconfig/all if you forget the all, it might not show up

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo where specifically on your channel do you have the links for the xbox ports? Could I get a link to that specific page? Thanks so much.

  • @epinerd .. thanks for the heads up I will update it in about ten minutes

  • That link to the PORTS FOR MW3 ON XBOX360 NOT FOUND ON PORTFORWARD ( the fourm has been deleted, so i don't know what the ports are. Does anywon know?

  • @EPINERD .. I have posted the port numbers on my channel, please find them on the main page in the branding box. Take care

  • @xoxocodfatherxoxo look it up. It's all over YouTube. It's to help with the lag compensation. Basically it's giving your Internet connection a 250ms delay! It works try it!

  • @jkflorida2013 ... I realize there's people on youtube that believe this, but from what i know about networking this does not make sense. It's just like last year when there was a viral rumor circulating that if you downloaded something while playing black ops, it improved your connection. That was all over as well and was completely inaccurate and did not work. I don't see how that could work, so I choose not to support it.

  • I did all this and set my priority as low! Now I'm a beast at Mw3. You know because the people with bad ass Internet get punished because of lag compensation.

  • @jkflorida2013 ... i've never heard of that before, and the quality of service you are setting as low has nothing to do with the people in the game. All that is doing is giving a stronger connection to the people in your house than you. Going into a game with a bad connection, doesn't get you a better connection, I don't care what systems they have in place, that does not happen my friend. I only comment like this because I don't want people thinking this works. take care

  • ugh the port forwarding isnt working for me.. i do exactly what they say and it when i put in the first port and press apply, it just goes away and says : no valid virtual server entry...

  • @3628800258 well obviously :)

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo lol, guess you dont know how to solve it then? :d

  • @3628800258 go under gaming under instead of virtual network

  • @Spey4eva i dont have that and the portforward site says it's virtual network ;p

  • i dont have a QoS option on my router...

  • @3628800258 ... a lot of routers call them something different or don't have an option at all. look up your router user guide and look through the table of contents for something similar or something that describes placing the importance of connections on your router.

  • DMZ only opens ports towards your ps3, not your pc

  • @3628800258 ... if you set the ip adress in the DMZ option to the adress of your ps3, then it will open all the router ports to the ps3. If you put in your computers ip adress it will open up all the ports to you computer... DONT DO THE SECOND OPTION!!! LOL

  • @xoxoCODFATHERxoxo well yeah obviously lol

  • I'm getting an error that says "the specific ports are being used by other configurations...PLEASE HELP!

  • @Tmcbride428 ... that means that you have other programs set using those ports. Uncheck the other options and choose different ports for them to use if possible, if you would like the ps3 ports to work.

  • subnetmask only changes when you have an ip adress below 192 for the first number ;p (but that' highly unlikely since you can have 64000 computers in class B..

the subnetmask can also change when you have subnets ;p

  • Can't wait to try this when I get home from work. I tried putting my ps3 in a dmz but for some reason I've got nothing but 3 bar since then
