How to make yourself an admin on your CS:S Dedicated Server (2011)

I Am having a problem. I have successfully made myself an admin, but how do I make my friend and admin, thank you.

@NONAMElefty2020 If you made yourself an admin it's quite easy. Been a long time since I played CS:S, but I'll try my best. Join your server Make your friend join it too Go to admin menu Go to Client Settings Go to Add Client Go to Add by SteamID I can't remember more, but the rest should be self-explanatory. Oh and be sure to give them the flags you want them to have, eg the ability to kick someone or w/e. Hope it helped

When i double click the shortcut to load up server, the box comes up with a load of test, last bit being searching for fame type Counter strike:source, Then lots of text flashes then it dissapears.

@TheTeenrocker Yes it is the same thing, but the console version is still better. The GUI uses a lot more resources than the console version, and the GUI is quite buggy too.

I strogly recommend, that you use the console version.

@jegkanlidepizza Try give them your external IP. Google "ip" and give it to them. If they can't join, then you need to portforward.

place it in cfg/mani_admin_plugin/

also make sure that y ou have runned CreateVDF.exe on that folder and installed the VDF :D

@GANGSTERGUNMAN Make sure that you download the newest mani admin plugin and extract it to c:/srcds/oragnebox/cstrike/

so the folders overwrite each other

and type this in an empty line in server.cfg:

exec mani_server.cfg

1. Join your server

2. Open admin menu

3. Click on "Client settings"

4. Click add a client

and add them by steam name and steam ID,

5. click Update a client and give them the flags, they should have.

The code WILL STILL work, even though it looks kinda messed up ^^ (as long as you copied the whole thing, and replace the 2 NICKNAME's and 1 STEAM_ID with your own data. :)

Copy the code in notepad

Replace "NICKNAME" with your Nickname

Replace the next "NICKNAME" with your Nickname

Replace "STEAM_ID" with your Steam ID

Open your server

Join it (you must join your server from your EXTERNAL IP - Google "IP" and you will find your external IP)

write admin on the console (IN-GAME)
