nothing wrong with the laughing, Americans laugh longer and are louder than in UK and in Finland it's a little shorter again. it's only a small cultural difference and not a big deal not like you have to laugh along with the audience that would be weird.

The laugh sounds that way because the people are actually not laughing much more than a few chuckles. But when a huge room of people make a chuckle, they are out of time and it sounds like the people are laughing for a period and then stopping when actually the people are mostly just chuckling en mass and out of sync
@FinnRose90 That reminds me of this swedish roasting show, i thinck the finnish comedian laughed once, the rest of the shows he just sat there chewing chewing-gum
@Tulkastaldo: That was an interesting comment. I'd very pleased if someone could offer further insight on that and on the fact that Finns in general do seem to keep strictly to the necessary and to the point when speaking. Something that might have to do with it is that in a not so warm country one must save energy for useful tasks. Back to the laughing pattern, it might have to do with wanting the show to proceed, not interrupting it, as one thing.
@papitata thats a very interesting interpretation :) not saying its wrong, but the finns are known to be very serious people and having trouble understanding irony. i think its all a leftover from the farming days. they havent lived long in cities at all compared to many other countries. this is generalizing tho, dont apply to everyone
@Tulkastaldo I've never thought about it but that's exactly how it goes. It's about politeness, because you don't want to make too much noise that would interrupt the show. Laugh quick and don't over do it, then suck it up and let the nice foreign man speak so we can do it again!
You guys kill me. I do exist.... But cant be making my self known publically after last time. I mean REALLY you guys kill me.. It hurts..But comedy is the way to heaven so keep it up Stay here a little longer and come a day later.. Fun later comedy later. Now Im deadly serious!!!
