LIke most singers these days, he has all official vocal gestures trotted out on cue, and is very conscious of his physical attitude, but there is no soul at all in this. No genuine feeling of any kind. He's got an impressive set of pipes; too bad he has nothing to say with them. I don't know why anybody on earth would try to cover this song after the Righteous Brothers did it---there's nowhere to go but down from that height. I feel sorry for young people today, who only get warmed-over soul.

Well, now we know why he totally disappeared.  This was SO painful to listen to that I left the room. MANY people did better than this on their first group auditions this year. Awful song choice for him -- and what on earth was with his voice?

He sounded so AWFUL on this song!! I was in pain listening to him. All the notes were wrong, his arrangement was terrible and for this to be such a beautiful classic song, sang untouchably by the originators, this performance fell as short as an ant underground!
