@yekane1 Emirates and American Airlines has their 777 configuration with 10 seat abrest and sold them with seasonal premium price. So not just budget airlines, even major carrier did it too.
shit!! those aisles are so small I hate that. No cabin atmosphere, terrible seating, terrible entertainment, terrible service = Terrible Airline
Air Asia X sucks I fly Singapore Airlines and I won't ever change. Singapore Airlines rules the aviation industry... I guess Air Asia is.. ok if you want low quality and cheap... But I would rather pay another $1,000 and go on Singapore Airlines or Qantas :/
@MrLex97 So you haven't flown with them?? not very appropriate to pass judgment if you have never flown with Air Asia before. I've heard its rather good. And given Qantas's recent incidents I rather fly with Air Asia I think haha!
well guys i can tell you that AAX will be around for a long time yet as they are only starting to carry cargo down stairs and that is where they make there money we are just walk on cargo .AAX A330 flys to perth everyday with the front empty if they fill that with over 28 tons of cargo then the fairs will be cheaper still they are the only airline out of perth not to fill with cargo as they want to keep on time for pax .EK leaves everyday day with around 40 tons of cargo
lol gotta to know wats on their inflight entertainment and oh god the way they design the cabin looks more like a cybercafe XP plus tight seats but price is of course cheap
Well, PTV great but Air Asia X only lol. One more thing, this looks like premium class because of the leather seats. No 2. this has narrow seats lol, No Comfort. No. 3 it uses LOUD aircraft rather than mas the B777 is quiet (with PTV) Well, it's great also, but MAS and AK will go together nicely. None will die
@Nat2370 Boeing 777 is a quiet jet? Where did you hear from? From aviation inspection 777 powerful engine generate more thrust and sound than A330. Anyway have you been on A330 before? AirAsia flies A330-30X with Roll Royce newest engine that share simiar fan blade with Singapore Airlines A380. On the other hand, AirAsia almost overtop Southwest airlines to be the largest low-cost airlines fleet with 200 A320 NEO ordered.
@Chris58851 I have been on the A330 more than ever. The B777 fuselage has a technology to reduce sound and on the B77W and B772LR(Well none of them are owned MAS fyi), the wingtips are raked to reduce more sound. Here I ask you again, have you been on a B777 before? One more thing, I don't care how many A320s AirAsia ordered as I only talk about the A330 and B777
@Nat2370 Yes I been on B777 including 777ER before and I didn't know where do you get ? My previous flight on MAS B777-200 and Singapore Airlines 777-3ER give me a loud roar in fuselage during cruising. While on Cathay and AirAsia A330, they are amazingly quiet. Raked wings are design to give aircraft more lifts not cancelling engine noise.
@Chris58851 hmmm..... maybe you didn't read any articles on Boeing, but nevertheless, I couldn't stand my ears onboard the A330 and even from land, the A330 is damn loud. The first time I boarded the B777, I was amazed that it was the most silent plane I ever been on, even from land. Conclusion, our ears are different
@Chris58851 Hey, I say what I hear..... I like Airbus as much as the next guy but there are good things in Boeing and Airbus respectively. The older A330 like on MAS old paint are as loud as I mentioned. But the newer A330(A330-300E/X) has more silent engines than the B737.
@Nat2370 If you really on board on A330 before, have you look onto your ticket and find out the variant of A330? Which airlines? The material used on building fuselage has little effect on reducing engine noise. Also I didn't know why you're the only one person who said 777 was much more quiet than A330. Go google it and read review on Flightglobal. Especially John Leany article who has better review on airlines and manufacturer.
@Chris58851 I look at the variant even BEFORE buying the ticket. I already said, I say what I hear. Now I even look at the rego to make sure completely what variant it is. Now leave me alone
that's an A330, fitted with 9-abreast seating (3/3/3) the A340s which do the STN flights have 8 a-breast seating (2/4/2) i'm flying STN-KUL in november, i can't wait!
hm :/ the only thing i dont like is the seating arrangement :P 3-3-3 >.< bit squishy haha (yes yes i know BUDGET AIRLINE)

9 seats on an Airbus A330 is tight, but no different to Emirates using 10 seats abreast on their fleet of 777s.

emirates 777 uses 10 seats but they are very comfortable and better than A330s i been on that have 2-4-2.

Buy premium seats ticket. They got more leg room as wide as first class on other airlines.
