Christians have to believe that Jesus is the son of God and that He died to save us from our sins. WOW. He didn't have to do that - he's perfect and we're not. But He chose to because He & God loves us all the same no matter how many times we've sinned. We can get into Heaven because we're considered perfect - Jesus died for our sins :)

The reason God has a son was because He wanted to show us that he loved us (people) so much that He would sacrifice His one and only Son to save us from our sins on the cross. The reason us sinners are going to Heaven if we believe in Jesus is because Jesus died to pay for our sins. If we accept Him as our Savior, God considers us clean :)

I'm so glad I'm a Christian :) Why? In all the other religions you have to be "good" to go to Heaven. You have to impress God enough to live a good afterlife. Christians have to believe that Jesus is the son of God and that He died to save us from our sins. WOW. He didn't have to do that - he's perfect and we're not. But He chose to because He & God loves us all the same no matter how many times we've sinned. We can get into Heaven because we're considered perfect - Jesus died for our sins :)

@arefle Yup, I'm 100% positive. The reason God has a son was because He wanted to show us that he loved us (people) so much that He would sacrifice His one and only Son to save us from our sins on the cross. I cannot necessarily prove anything to you, but all I can say is that I strongly believe He is the son of God. The reason us sinners are going to Heaven if we believe in Jesus is because Jesus died to pay for our sins. If we accept Him as our Savior, God considers us clean :)

@MRCHOPPS If you go back 1400 years back you'd find out that he did not try to kill random people willingly, he tried to have a pact with the jews of Medina at the time, when they broke their word and helped his enemies he killed them. When you look at all the battles or wars he was in they were all for good reason and were all against those who have harmed him and kept on harming him and his followers.

There are scriptures of peace in the Qur'an, but according to the Nation of Islam what comes later precedes what came earlier. Hence Muhammad precedes Jesus, such as the later violent scriptures precede the earlier peaceful ones.

@MRCHOPPS Yea, but keep in mind those verses refer to specific people. I read the Quraan in Arabic, all of it and I can assure you that it does not say kill people in an unjustified manner. It does have some violent and harsh sentences but they do have good reasons and good consequences.

the real problem is not with Islam or their Quran as per se but the fact that most of them are illiterate and the fact that they want to remain that way. this makes the Islamic youth more vulnerable to easy exploitation
