I hear a real ragged low down dirty acoustic blues with some slide work. Is that what you had in mind? I can't wait to hear the music that you have in mind.

The sound and tone of your voice works for the song. The only real suggestion would be to amp up the emotion level on those key "hurt" points in the lyrics, and happy on the happier points. Find key words to stress emotion on. Holler back, I really want to see where this goes.

Otis, I'll have to say that I really loved your song and video. The song is very personal and very honest. It makes me think of love lost and family lost. I can identify with your feelings and that is the main objective of songwriting, anyway. You have accomplished that. I feel right along with you. The visual images are also well placed and help convey the feeling of the song. Your singing is also very good. I can feel the pain and sincerety in your voice.
