btw. self-titled recording session is a name probably made up by me ( if you don't believe me, you can google me if you want), actually those demos (including blue) have been recorded before the production of the first self-titled album. The tape was made by columbia for promotional stuff, only intended for other record companies, and thus extremely rare.

Simple answer is that I'm a soad/serj cd/tape collector. You know, I don't just search for tracks on emule, etc., I buy fancy stuff on ebay and trade things with other people. That's how I got into some kind of collector's circle where every person knows something about the band and stuff.

first, it's not an album, it's a promo tape, first released as "1997 recording session" way back in 2004/05 (I'm not sure about the exact date, could be earlier) on irc. Well I downloaded them and named them self-titled recording session. A year later, these demos were released under this label because a friend of mine sent who got them from me sent them to this site. I strongly believe this is why everyone calls them "self-titled recording session"

that's quite accurate information, although I doubt those have leaked in 1997 already. The first tape that got into the hands of the people outside the band's "inner circle" appeared in early 1998 as far as I know, and since I'm sure I know this guy, I also know that he has not leaked it in 1997 already.
