practice the technique of the bounce/running vault at a stand still then get it up to a walk and progress it further

i think it's way harder to do a running vault because of the lack of momentum

littlemissmiloily: running vaults r a lot easier with more momentum so if u can get someone to lead your pony at first it'll be easier to concentrate on what u have to do. for me it's easier at a canter or gallop b/c u have more momentum. it kind of pulls u up. watch sum games vids and ull get what i mean. :)) good luck.

im training my 4yr old rescue pony mounted games so have you got any tips ?

start him slowly and give him plenty of time. Minnow was similar to a rescue because at one point in his life he was starved and locked in a stall. It took me a long time to get him to trust me. But if minnow can learn to play games I think any pony can. When he first started games I would race around the arena uncontrollably.

It took me a good 2 years to get him ready for true competition. So just take your time and don't rush things.

i was in pony club with this pony but i just graduated. But I am 5'11" and Minnow is 13.1. If he was any smaller my feet would probably drag! haha.

my sister is the one who rides the 14.3 pony and she's 5'5" but she likes the bigger horses(her horse is very fast). its also so she can play POLOX on her horse.

minnow is 13.1hands. Personally I like the smaller ponies. But if you can vault on a 13.3 pony than go for it. I'm 5'11" so obviously I could get on something larger if I needed to. My sister is 5'4" and her games pony is 14.3 so its all in what fits you best.
